Hello everyone. I am a retired Air Traffic Controller and I live in Ayr, in the south-west of Scotland. I love to sing, but have a preference for the blues (big time) and also rock (big time) and Jazz (big time). I love the old crooners too, huge fan of Sinatra and the Rat Pack! Love Tony Bennett as well. There are a few C & W songs/singers that I adore as well as Big Band, and I have always had a great fondness for Old Time Music, you gotta just love the oldies. I am from a very musical family and background. I'm a huge fan and close friend of Martin Taylor, the world's best Jazz guitarist and all round nice guy to boot, as is all of his remaining family. If you have not had the pleasure to hear him, you don't know what you're missing!
I am also a big fan of the classics, opera etc. I simply love music in all its forms.
I come from a Mediterranean background on my grandmother's side (Malta), so I also know many Italian songs - the old favourites. May give one or two of them a try sometime. I'm a bit of a romantic in my heart and very nostalgic.
My better half and I have three dogs, we love life and attend as many live concerts as we possibly can as we both love music. I am a non-fiction crime writer since the mid 90s it's hard work and my research has to be spot on, that's why I do it all myself. This is a terrific way to relax for me. I am also a poet.
I absolutely love animals, and I find it hard to understand why there are people who can be cruel to any living creature. I also love people.
I am a big fan of Celtic FC.
Everyone is so kind in their comments, even when I was having terrible sound problems last year, but hey, hopefully these are fixed. Anyway, I only sing for pleasure if you enjoy that's good enough for me. A love of music is what transcends many languages and brings us all together - it's a sheer delight!
