I have the most beautiful grand daughter in the entire universe! I am the queen of the State of Confusion. I am a wife of over 23 years and a mother of one daughter and two sons. I believe that all three of them have been taken over by body snatchers or something, because I know that I did not raise these inconsiderate ungrateful creatures. I am an aunt and a great-aunt. I am a daughter, a sister, and a friend. I am a "GiGi", with four grandsons whose mothers grew in my heart, not my tummy.
I can be a big flirt, but usually only with people that I know don't take it seriously. I've invested too much in this marriage to throw it away, so if that's your idea, keep steppin' cause it ain't happenin'! My marriage was made in Heaven - just like thunder and lightning. I wouldn't take a million dollars for my man... nor would I give you a penny for another one.
I live in southeastern North Carolina, and I have lived within a 50 mile radius of the place I was born my entire life. I am a Southern "Belle", and sometimes I'm a Southern "different 5 letter word that starts with a B". I have reached the point in life where I am sick of trying to be who everyone else wants me to be. I should not have to pretend that life is wonderful when it isn't. And it hasn't been for a very long time. I deal with enough drama in my real day to day life, so I don't tolerate it online.
I don't see the glass as half-full, but I don't see it as half-empty either... I'm still trying to find the darn glass! It seems all I can find is that ring of water left on the table after the glass has been taken elsewhere. People say that makes me negative. I say that makes me a realist. I see life for what it is, not some bullshit fairy tale. I won't blow smoke up yours, and I'll appreciate it if you don't blow smoke up mine. In the words of Maureen (I think that's the character's name) from Rent - Take me for what I am - who I was meant to be - and if you give a damn - take me, Baby, or leave me!
If you're still reading this, I may listen to different genres of music, but I sing mostly Country. If you don't want to hear Country, then you likely won't enjoy my recordings. I have a couple of songs from other genres but not many. If you do listen and enjoy what you hear, let me know. It just might be a bright spot in an otherwise crappy day.
