Hi Everyone, My name is Dorisse and some of my friend & family call me Binky(a childhood nick name). **************************************************************************************************** I am from Alabama and proud of it and if you can't be proud of something then its time to change. One thing about us Southerner's we are very friendly people. We never meet a stranger. If you ever come south and eat out, you will always here "Hi how are you or please come back? Usually with a big smile. If you are just out and about it is not uncommon for someone to speak to you with a warm hello. If you have never been southern part of the US. come by some time and visit. You will not be disappointed. **************************************************************************************************** I live in the country with my life partner of 19 years who I love with all of my heart, two dogs and a cat. The cat's a little crazy but we love her. My dogs name are Callie and Sophie. I am a truly bless person. What is important to me may not be important to some; like family, wonderful friends, my health, my spirituality, nature, freedom,music, the ability and to love and feel love for my fellow man. But its not money and fame. I guess I will never have to worry about that anyway, but I am ok with that. I enjoy being around good non- judgmental , down to earth real people, who looks the inside of someone and not the outside. I hate chaos or drama. **************************************************************************************************** I love to sing but I am not a signer by know means, however this so much fun and I really have enjoyed listening to others sing. I started out singing to pick at my brother George, and I had such a good time that I am now a gold member. I could not sing for a while because last year I lost 3 brothers, Charles, Brent and Kenneth and my heart has just been broken. The twins were 10 years younger than me. The twins (Brent & Kenneth) had beautiful voices and love to sing. We all would sing together some times, but after they died I could not even listen to music. I think that singing here on singsnap is a way for healing for me and it sooth my soul. It is also a spiritual thing for me. At the bottom of this page is pictures of family who I love with all of my heart. **************************************************************************************************** I have a brother named George ( "Swabby" on SS) is a member here and has a really good voice. He is a GREAT Brother and each others best fan. **************************************************************************************************** I love old music like 60's, 70's, and old southern rock. Heck, I just like music. I just love to sing and like to hear others sing. There is a lot of wonderful singers on here, but to me is just for fun no matter how we sounds. Its not a contest. Having fun and making new friends is what matters to me.. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I would like to personally thank you in advance for the time that you take to listen to my songs, because we all have busy lifes. I would love to have time to listen to everyone's songs, but there just isn't enough time in the day. I may listen to one of your songs one day another and another day. I don't go to listen to your music where you will come to listen to mine. That is so not cool. I listen and comment because I want too. But you can bet I will be listening and singing here on Singsnap.
