Hello, my name is Andy and I am a karaokaholic. I know I'm not the best singer around but I love to karaoke and I believe that it's all about having fun singing and listening to others sing.

I live in a small town in Michigan, USA with my wonderful wife and 3 children. I spent 5 years as a steelworker in a foundry after high school, and am recently unemployed (like just about everybody else in this state right now!) However I do, from time to time, work at the local cemetery as a grounds maintenance person. Needless to say I've had some interesting jobs!

I have somewhat of a split personality. At times I'm a rocker and I just love to have fun and socialize, but at heart I am a scientist. I really enjoy learning about new things, especially technical stuff. I love to tinker with anything mechanical or electrical, and a lot of the time when I'm not on SS you can find me under the car, in the garage, or around the house fixing something.

As far as my style of music, I tend to be quite diverse. Mostly I love 80's rock, the hair bands: Def Leppard, Van Halen, Boston, GnR; you know, fun music! However I also get into some ballads, country, theatre, and even some new stuff from time to time. Recently I've been getting back into playing my trumpet, as I played trumpet in my high school marching band, so maybe I'll get some of that on here somewhere. I've also been a keyboard player since childhood, not quite Beethoven quality of course, but I might think about doing some of that too. After the recent purchase of our new equipment I've taken up an interest in recording, so maybe this can go somewhere beyond SS, that would be neat! But I wouldn't quit my day job, (if I had one!) LOL!
