Mr_Gunnslingr's Profile
Mr_Gunnslingr's real name is Rick Hall. Rick is 43 years old, is located in California / USA and has been a SingSnap member since March 31, 2007. So far he has made a total of 167 recordings.
My Name is Rick, and I live in Southern California.
Out on the left-coast under the smogberry trees.
Living with my 18 y/o son, and then having my 16, 9, and 6 y/o sons joining in when they're done with school to make the place a complete 4-ring circus! (and somehow I manage to make like the ring-master for the evening (naww really I love em all to death)
I have heaps of fun coming up here to SingSnap and taking time to just get lost in the music and forget about the stresses of the day.
While I am finding solace and practicing my craft.. it warms my heart to no end, to have so many of you take the time to post a comment on one of my songs, or go one further and post a private message to me.
(I love all of the comments you guys send me, and I can't help but feel the love) Thank You ALL sooooo much for your friendship and your continued support!!!!
Is it possible to feel proud, and humbled all @ the same time?
I must defer and say by all means yes!
Because that is the feeling I am always filled with when people take the time to show their appreciation for one of my songs.
Feel free to browse my directory of past songs.
If anyone would like to do a duet? Just post me a message and well go from there :-D
Also, if there's something you'd like to hear me sing sometime.
Likewise, just post me a message, and we'll go from there! :-)
I look forward to meeting each of you as time passes..
Until Then... Rick

I sincerely apologize to freinds and fans alike, but you see, it's a little tough singing online, or posting messages for that matter with a computer that bought the last 50 feet of the runway. When it burned, the power supply fused closed, and all that unrestrained current flooded in and did extremely nasty things to my motherboard. So to say the computer smoked would be an understatement of sorts. You just had to have been there, unless something similar has happened to you. (eeeek!) After a self-imposed hiatus, I am back with new equipment all around! Right now, I'm running an HP Pavilion m8330 with full blown Vista pro and a few other goodies :-) This puppy does HiDef. So it's pretty slick, my monitor is really a 19" Westinghouse HD TV.So, with a push of a button.. I can be watching TV, or a movie, or whatever, and still be able to fly my MS Flight Simulator X, and my xbox360 (hehehe yeah it gets better), the Windows media center in the computer comes with it's own custom remote as well LOL!! It took a little time to get the ducketts I needed to do the job, and do it properly so I can significantly decrease the risks of having such a costly failure in the future. But I have to keep remembering that Life is "not" a linear process. And having learned the 1st law of thermodynamics, it states that warmth will flow from a warmer body(celestial, physical whatever}, to a cooler body. Meaning that we are living in a universe where the physical effects of time-space, will always be in degradation. The law that denotes the "natural progression from order, to disorder (yes, "time" is a physical property!) Is called "Entropy" Having sad that.. I can clean up this existential mudpuddle up by simply saying "The laws of entropy were very much alive and well, and living in my old computer. (note past tense in a big way!) LOL! So, humbly I return once again to callerwall... er I mean sing my heart out, and to then share many of my personal favorite songs, or a song requested of me, it's all about the fun of it. After all the fuss n feathers of the past 3+ months. I'm tryin to get my "sea-legs" back. But, as before. I will try to present the most professional sounding product that I can. NO... I'm not trying to be better than, anyone else or even someone in particular. Hardly the case. I try to use my music as a means of communicating, and fellowshipping with others out in the ether. Who knows? Perhap[s the next song YOU SING. And the life that "you" bring to it. Is not only Communication on a much higher level. "Music is a language, that transcends ALL other language barriers. You don't have to know the words of a song per-se to know how it affects you on a deeper, subconcious level. Music is a gift. I thank The Almighty daily.. for allowing me the gift to sing, to play bass (and now learning "other" instuments).. But overall. Blessing me in such a way. It's just a win-win scenario no matter which way it goes. I can't help but have fun,. and be very much in-the-moment when I sing. As if I were telling you a story.. and the melody carries you along. To me, it's magic. For me personally, If I can make someone "Think, and Feel", and possibly touch someone by making someone smile or sing along as well! THAT to me is that "fluix" that music provides, Making things solid where once they were weak. Or breaking down barriers, that have no place in a "truly" free society. As long as there are those who are fighting, bleeding and sometimes dying in foriegn lands away from loved ones. I will honor their service and sacrafice, by taking the time, to not only have fun, but honor those who choose to do the job that so many of us couldn't bring ourselves to do. All gave some... But, Some gave all.. Now that I have probably bored you to tears, I invite you to check out some of the songs I have produced. I'll be trying to post recent hits, but I have a VERY wide range.. so be warned! You'll probably NEVER know what I'll post. :-D I'm a non-conformist and proud of it :-) Don't be shy! FEEL FREE to drop[ me an email anytime. I look forward to heaering from friends and fans. These past 3 months have tried my spirit in ways I never wish to experience again. The times that indeed try mens souls. (and sometimes taking that soul Home,) So, a few more 'life-lessons' under the belt and learned.. but still having a problem accepting. So music has become a refuge Perhaps it has for you too, or, you're just cruising around and seeing what people are offering vocally. The MAIN thing to me, whether the room is filled with live people, or live people who are online.. IMHO It takes a lot of courage! annd I hope more and more people catch the singin bug. because, we're all here for one another to help develop our respective craft(s). It's ALL ABOUT Havin' Fun!! As for me.. I'm just glad to be back :-) Hey, I'm a simple guy.. easy to please... (simple mind=no headaches) Looking forward to talking to all of you soon! Rick aka: Gunny
