Hello... hello! Glad you stopped in! My name is Lenore Carr. I live in a small rural town in Southern Ontario. I was born in Windsor, Ontario, and have spent time living in several places, including Detroit, Michigan; Toronto, Ontario; and Edmonton, Alberta. I am still getting used to living in a rural area, and I've been here almost eight years! As I child, I lived in a home filled with music. My parents were big fans of Neil Young, Nilsson, and Tom Petty. The most memorable artists in my childhood that stay with me are Neil Young, and Nilsson. My parents also enjoyed bluegrass and Canadian Indie music. My Uncles from out East, used to get together in the summer around a campfire and play various instruments, including the guitar, the harmonica (which I absolutely adore), and some sort of bizarre, homemade instrument using string, a broom handle, and a very large upside down tin tub. ???? anyone care to name it??? lol... I just looked it up. It is called a Washtub Bass or Gutbucket. Anyone else ever played one? You should try. They are really easy to make and have a really neat sound to them. As a teenager, I jumped from liking hard rock, to hip hop and then to the grunge music of the early 90s. Now that I'm all grown up and I've kind of found myself, I find myself gravitating more and more towards the music I was raised on. This includes Neil Young, Tom Petty, Paul Simon, and James Taylor. It also includes quite an eclectic mix of other music. My favourite artists or bands at present are; Neil Young (this has always been and will never change), Johnny Cash, Bob Marley (again he remains a constant in my life), Regina Spektor (she's fabulous!), the Eagles, Steve Miller Band, Norah Jones, Etta James, BB King, and Roberta Flack.
