I was fortunate to have been raised in a large loving family. Music has always been a part of my life. My dad played several musical instruments and loved singing with family and friends. My sisters learned to play the piano and guitar and loved singing their hearts out too. Growing up, I was especially fond of the weekends that our relatives would come over to “make music”. My uncle Bob played guitar and sang along to every song my father knew. I didn’t sing much back then but I did do a whole lot of observing. As I grew up, I found myself doing a whole lot of singing (mostly in the shower and while driving my car). I realized how much I enjoyed it but never felt confident enough to sing in front of a crowd. I found SingSnap via an article I read and decided to check it out. I spent many nights listening to people sing on here and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I liked the concept of being able to sing to the public without the public being able to see the goofy “rock star” faces we all make….come on….you know you make them. :) I was pleasantly surprised when Santa brought me a mic and a mixer for Christmas and said “I think you should sing on that web site you like”. It got even better when my husband and family started singing on here too. This is definitely a great place to share your love for music with family and friends. It’s a great place to make new friends too.
