RICHARD F. GALLAGHER, 74 years old of Union Grove, WI passed away Sunday December 23, 2007 at the Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie, WI. He was born January 8, 1933 in Rockford, IL, the son of the late John and Elsie (Sueltman) Gallagher. Richard grew up in Rockford and served in the US Army. He later moved to Skokie, IL in 1970 before moving to Wisconsin in 1987. He owned and operated Gallagher Appraisal before his retirement in 2002. He enjoyed music, singing, and was a member of the Interstate Barber Shoppers of Silver Lake, WI, who met once a month on Fridays at the American Legion Hall in Silver Lake. On May 28, 1960 he married Donna Hogan in Skokie, and she preceded him in death on December 30, 2005. Survivors include four children, Kathleen (Joseph) Alfonzo of Duluth, GA, Peggy (Christopher) VanAken of Trevor, WI, Robert (Kathryn) of East Point, GA, and William of Union Grove; five grandchildren, Joseph, Chelsea, Megan, Claudia, and Sophie; and a sister, Gwendolyn Coe of Rockford, IL. In addition to his parents and wife, Richard was preceded in death by brothers, John and Robert, and sisters, Lorna, Betty, Nancy, and Vera. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, December 30, 2007 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) with visitation beginning at 1:00PM until time of services. Interment of ashes will be in St. Benedict Abbey Cemetery, Antioch Twsp., IL.

Dick was a musician and a vocalist during his younger days.
We believe that he is now singing with the multitude of angels and heavenly hosts together with some of our late singsnapers who had left this world before him like bluer_than_blue, savingdaworld, Ron etc.

He had done a lot of recordings which he had burnt into cds. Commons and I will upload them for your listening at later dates.
For it is our belief that Dick's singing should be heard by most in SingSnapers all around the world.
Eventhough he is no longer with us on this earth but his legend and his music live on.

Bill_Gallagher, Dick's youngest son is also a SingSnaper and he will be playing some music and record them for us to sing here in SingSnap when he is ready. According to Bill, singing is not his gift but he can play many instruments; Guitar is what he is good at.
