Hello! My Name is Dale, but folks that hear me sing jus' call me Dalevis (pronounced Dale-vis). I was born an' raised in California, but my folks originate from Arkansas (which a ccounts for my slight accent). I practically cut my teeth on Elvis's albums as a kid. I listened so much that it mus' have made a permanent "burn-in" of his intonations on my brain. Now when I sing, mos'of what comes out (accordin' to folks that hear me) sounds like Elvis. It's a natural occurrence. I began to really sing around the age of 5... I picked up the guitar at the age of 10. "Public awareness" of my vocals occured around the same time I began playin' guitar. I openly sang, did plays, puppeteered, an' performed in many different ways durin' my youth. It was in my 30's that I began to use my voice as an ETA (Elvis Tribute Artist) as an actual vocation. Today I still sing in Amador County, California. I endeavor to expand my performances to reach accross the U.S. I have experienced some physical limitations that hinder me at the present, but it is my hope that these "difficulties" will be overcome, an' I'll be able to achieve my goals.
