First of all... I love music... obviously. Pretty much anything but rap (with the exception of Eminem... I really can't understand what the heck they're even saying... nevermind understand it!). I'm a rocker at heart (Boss, Seger, Stones, Joel,.... way too many to list. Love soul, R&B and blues (Otis, Gaye, Jonny Lang (check this kid out!) almost anything Motown... you get the picture .... I personally think my true voice is best suited for blues. I even enjoy classical music really loud with headphones on (try that sometime and just let it take you away... you won't regret it). And...... get this! I'm starting to like country more and more! Eeeeeeek! I always liked Garth Brooks and Dwight Yoakam I love but I was certainly NOT considered a country fan. You guys here on SingSnap are makin me love it! (My friends IRL would kill me!) LOL
OMG... I'm ramblin' big time! LOL Sorry! I started this just for kicks and thought I'd see how I sound on a few recordings. Not in my wildest dreams did I think I'd do 100 songs and I guess I still have a few left in me. Yeah.... I'm hooked! LOL
OK... lil' bout the personal me. I'm 45 and have always lived in RI. Love it here... it's the only thing I know and it's home. :) Never married (never will.... LOL) and no kids ... tho I just love 'em. I'm a huge baseball and football fan (Go Red Sox and Patriots!) I have been a baseball coach for many years... teaching kids the game from age 5 all the way up thru 21. No greater satisfaction than helping a child succeed and learn to love the game.
In my 20's I had polyps on my vocal chords burned off ... which shortened them. I didn't sing for a long time but have found that the more and more I use them that I can do different things with my voice... which sometimes surprises even me. :P Maybe it was a blessing in disguise.
Before I bore you to death cuz' this has gone on much longer than I intended... I want to Thank each of you for your wonderful comments and support. The friends I've met on here so far are just great! I won't send TY's (way too much like work!) to each one that comments but I ALWAYS try to listen and comment on what you've recorded too. I hope that's better... we all like a pat on the back, right?
