Mine will be on Babylon

Youre vocal melody is vastly different from the original. Effectively what I would say is that you are reharmonizing the tune, which makes it difficult to tell from the original, but in itself, it is a valid approach to just one way someone might want to approach the song. What remains to be seen is, how others feel about that reharmonization. The problem with your reharmonization, is that you'd need to be spot on pitch perfect, and in this case, that isn't happening, the pitch warbles and is flat, adding to the difficulty of pulling this idea off.

Another observation is that melodically it echo's Glen Campbell's Gentle on My Mind.

In no way other than a reharmonization attempt was this song close to the original, so I cannot judge it as such.

But from an interest and novel approach point of view, it was kind of interesting, and vocal tone wasn't that bad either.

I hope this honesty helps you in your journey, and always keep it fun.

Thank you to anybody who visits here and takes the time to listen to my songs and offer honest critique. I have received some great feedback so far, the majority has been good, solid, honest and very constructive. A handful have been very harsh, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. I welcome all criticism, good and bad.

I would ask that you PM me, as opposed to posting publicly. This way, I appreciate the confidentiality, and can more easily track conversations with you in PM threads, as opposed to direct comments on the song pages, or in a public forum.
