Willing to fight for your right to stay in the Soldier's Top 20 ?

* This never ending competition will see you battling against other singers to claim and try to keep your place in the Top 20. Entrants will be judged on a weekly basis. We will also be awarding banners for Best overall Top performance, Best Female Vocalist, Best Male Vocalist and Best Sportsmanship.
* The beauty of this competition is that you can join in at any time !
*You might stay at the top spot for a week, or even a month. It is all up to your competition
*And just to spice things up a little....We have a daily question which EVERY member of the top 20 MUST answer.
Newbies to the contest need to ONLY answer the daily question for the DAYS THEY SUBMIT A SONG... FOR EXAMPLE if someone is new to the thread and submits a song on sat-mon-wed...Then they only have to answer the question that was asked on SAT-MON-WED. They CAN answer ALL daily questions if they want to.
*Also we have a chat room designated for contestants. You can go in there chat with fellow contestants, sing live, get feedback and make new friends.. We will meet every Saturday for a few hours just to hang
Out and sing and get to know each other. If you need to be added to the list please PM either Elaine brown or Sadie babes (two of my judges).

RULES AND REGULATIONS
No Pre-Recordings
All songs must be submitted on time.
No widgets. Only Sing Snap backing tracks are allowed in this competition.
Web-Cams are allowed but please no nudity or anything else that may be deemed inappropriate.
Do not post or link to offensive, inflammatory, obscene, vulgar, profane, racist or sexually explicit text, images or videos.
NO "F" BOMBS ALLOWED AT ALL IN THIS THREAD IT WILL CAUSE AND AUTOMATIC DQ
If you are in any doubt, please check the Sing Snap Code of Conduct.
The judges decision is final.
Please remember that the Sing Snap community takes in all ages and people from all faiths and backgrounds. Show respect at all times and in the spirit of the Sing Snap community, take time to listen to other contestants and leave feedback.

We will NOT judge on friendship or popularity. The judges will be marking you on a number of key areas including voice, emotion, pitch, sportsmanship (to include support of other contestants through comments HOF Noms given and received, participation throughout the week on the thread), technical difficulty, and originality.

Judging is based on your vocals and pitch along with background. Meaning how well you sung the song, had the pitch of the song down and had no background interference such as phones ringing, tv's blarring, full ring circus you know that kind of stuff...

You are scored 1-10 in each catagory for a total score of 30 points from each judge. THEN your sportsmanship points which includes all bonus materials is scored by the HOST. THAT WAY BONUS SONGS AND MATERIAL ARE NOT COUNTED MORE THAN ONCE. BONUS SONGS AND OTHER BONUS POINTS LIKE DIGGLING GUESTBOOKS AND COMMENTS DO NOT AFFECT YOUR VOCAL SCORES....SO FOR INSTANCE SOMEONE SCORES A 70 ON VOCALS ALONE AND SOMEONE ELSE SCORE A 70 BUT HAD 3 BONUS SONGS DONE THEY WOULD NOT SCORE ABOVE THE PERSON WHO HAD THE 70 JUST ON VOCALS ALONE AND DIDNT SING A BONUS SONG. MAKE SENSE?

*when you diggle someones guestbook you can go in the thread and just say hey I diggled xxxx and xxxx. when commenting you DO NOT have to let us know that in the thread. Our judges keep an eye out for that when posting their banners and scoring the songs. They do check on the guestbooks too but it's easier to know who all got diggled so they dont have to go to every guest book as well.. You do NOT have to diggle everyone it's just a nice way to say hi to someone and another way to make friends. You can diggle 1 person a week if you choose or all of them it's up to you..DAILY QUESTIONS NEED TO BE IN BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON FOR EVERYONE...EVEN NEWBIES...WE KNOW THAT YOU ALL CANT BE ON HERE EVERYDAY THAT IS WHY WE SAY AS LONG AS THEY ARE ALL ANSWERED BY FRIDAY ITS COOL WITH US...

And, most importantly, please leave all drama at the door, this contest is fun ! You wont win a huge cash prize or even a car, but you will win banners and there will be some interesting twists and other surprises along the way !! PLUS....you get to meet some wonderful new members of the Sing Snap Community.

We know that some of you share a singsnap with your SO
(significant other) so we will allow both of you to submit songs under the same name HOWEVER you must let us know so that we know what to look for on your song submissions for each week... IF you and your SO submit songs you BOTH must still answer the daily questions like everyone else and answers MUST be different than one anothers. Both will follow all the rules that apply to everyone else…

YOUR DUTIES AS A MEMBER OF THE TOP 20 ARE TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING....
1. YOU MUST ANSWER ALL DAILY QUESTIONS...
2. CHECK IN WITH THE THREAD AND SHOW SUPPORT TO EVERYONE...
3. IF A SONG IS ASKED OF THE TOP 20 WE WILL STATE THAT THE TOP 20 HAS TO SING THAT SONG...ANOTHER WAY OF KEEPING THE TOP 20 INTERESTED AND ACTIVE IN THE THREAD.

IF ANYONE IN THE TOP 20 WANTS TO SUBMIT NEW SONGS FOR THE NEW WEEK THEN THEY WILL FORFEIT THEIR SPOT THEY CURRENTLY HOLD. MEANING THAT AT THE END OF THE NEXT WEEK THEY WILL BE SCORED ON ALL NEW SONGS SUBMITTED AND THEIR OLD SONG WITH SCORES WILL BE DELETED...IF THEY WANT TO JUST LEAVE THEIR SONG THEY HAD FROM THE LAST WEEK THEN THEY JUST DO THE 3 THINGS ASKED OF THE TOP 20 AND AT THE END OF THE CURRENT WEEK THEY WILL KEEP THE SCORES THEY HAD...FOR EXAMPLE IF SOMEONE WAS NUMBER 4 ON THE CHARTS LAST WEEK AND HAD A 75 AND THEY CHOSE TO LEAVE IT THEN AT THE END OF THE WEEK THEIR SONG WITH THE 75 GETS ADDED TO THE NEW LIST FOR THE WEEK...IF A SCORE OF 75 PLACES THEM 8TH THAT SONG GETS BUMPED DOWN TO 8TH PLACE.

catskill just post your banner in there then hit enter then type in <br> then hit enter and then paste the next banner and you keep doing that if you want them to go down your page if you want two next to each other then just paste your banner and then paste the next banner next to it and then hit enter then do the <br> and post the rest of them..hope that makes sense...
