I was in Vietnam, and this idiot is starting to look more and more like some lame brained, no experienced asswipe military pretender. I have a nephew in Afghanistan, and EXPERIENCED military men have asked for more troops. Mr. President, either listen to to your EXPERIENCED military men and send more troops to protect our troops there, and quit listening to your asshole left wing people who have no military experience...or order the troops out....OR RESIGN AS COMMANDER IN CHIEF!...If my nephew comes in harms way because your listening to the extreme left, or your extreme left advisers who have no military experience....I HOLD YOUR COMPLETELY MILITARY INEXPERIENCED MILITARILY BUTT RESPONSIBLE. Yeah! Keep running your mouth like your still running for President and not making any decisions like a REAL commander in Chief should make. Make this your Vietnam and my Nephew gets in harms way. I, AND OTHERS WHO HAVE OUR PEOPLE OVER THERE WILL HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE....Goodbye in 2012

Impeachment is extreme. He's lost alot of support as shown in the polls. Only 20% of this country consider themselves Liberal. The rest are Independants and moderates which elected him. The polls show that the shift is going against him now. His people have alienated the eldery (shown by Barny Frank's dismissal and saying anyone that opposes the Health Care are stupid more or less....and these were the elderly he's attacking which oppose the HC as proposed).....The moderates and Independants are the one's that got him elected.... I watched the polls during the election, and saw that he was going to get elected because of the numbers. Now liberals are claiming the current polls are insignificant....the same polls they touted as what would get him elected. Like I said....one term Prez...
First let me say thank you to your family member for their service to this country. Our involvement in Afghanistan started way before Mr. Obama took office as President so it is quite unfair to blame any harm that might come about on him. I do agree though that he taking quite a long time to make his decision. Then again we don't know all of the intelligence information he may be getting in addition to the military information.

I tend to trust Gallup...here is what I saw:
"PRINCETON, NJ -- Thus far in 2009, 40% of Americans interviewed in national Gallup Poll surveys describe their political views as conservative, 35% as moderate, and 21% as liberal. This represents a slight increase for conservatism in the U.S. since 2008, returning it to a level last seen in 2004. The 21% calling themselves liberal is in line with findings throughout this decade, but is up from the 1990s."
Which supports my research that the 21% is not going to carry any Dem in the polls, so they need to heed the voice of the people which elected them. They seem to feel that they need to follow this minority's thinking. Guess again... I may be wrong, but from I have been following, the moderates, independents, and even the elderly liberals may end up voting them out of office.

BUT...during his campaign he commited himself to this war. That crap was done in Vietnam and look where it got us. Yeah...lets listen to Pelosi or Harry Reed and take their' advice. I would love to give them both a weapon and drop them in the middle of combat and THEN listen to what they have to say.
You are right Sir, this may have started before he came to office, but, the ball is in his court now & he has to make these decisions. He should send them the troops they need.I would hate to see us lose more men & women because he cannot make an educated decision.
My head is going to blow up with all those numbers...LOL
Personally, I have become a libertarian with conservative leanings. I think Government needs to let the free market decide. It has not worked in Canada, England, etc. YOu had a member of Parliament on TV telling our Government to beware....England's bonds are worthless. The only jobs they have created from the Obama type government control is governmental jobs which are considered "non productive"...social workers, etc...no productive industrial jobs to speak of. The unemployment rate keeps going up, which shows that Roosevelts own secretary was right in saying back then that all the money they threw out to try to control the economy DID NOT WORK. It was WWII that brought us out of depression. Thats another debate of whether Roosevelt purposly brought us into WWII (knowing the japanese were going to attack and doing nothing about it) to get us out of the depression (another conspiracy theory :) )
He needs to get himself adjusted and lead or get the heck out of the way and let those with experience take care of things. WWIII will pull us out of a depression, if history holds true.
Now, where do you think this third world war will start? I have a prediction, but it's just a guess. I think it will be triggered by Iran. How well do you think Obama will hold up against them?

Lighten up folks, Obama has the same Defense Secretary Bush had when he left office, I'm sure a lot of the input on Afghanistan is coming from Gates. But of course, now that he works for Obama Gates is useless. LOL now I'm sure I'm going to piss Fitz off, but this needs to be said, Bush ignored 99% of the generals when he was in office, until he found a general who agreed with him.

If I am not mistaken all his people including Gates (Rambo even said publicly that we need to make a decision NOW...and that was a couple weeks ago)have said that a deciision has to be made..sorry, but this is putting our kids in harms way each day. ...It has nothing to do with Gates...he doesn't make the decisions....Obama does. The Buick stops at he oval office.

Looks like I was right about Gates
President Obama has asked senior officials for a province-by-province analysis of Afghanistan to determine which regions are being managed effectively by local leaders and which require international help, information that his advisers say will guide his decision on how many additional U.S. troops to send to the battle (snip)
Administration officials say that Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates and national security adviser James L. Jones, a retired four-star general, support Obama's request for a more detailed status report on each province that could identify potential U.S. allies among Afghanistan's local leaders, some with less-than-sterling human rights records.
Gates and Jones have pushed McChrystal to justify as specifically as possible his request for 44,000 additional troops, the figure now at the center of White House deliberations. The review group once included intelligence officials, generals and ambassadors, but it has recently narrowed to a far smaller number of senior civilian advisers, including Biden, Gates, Jones, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. Administration officials said the province-by-province analysis will be ready for Obama before his scheduled Friday meeting with the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the White House.

Piss on the Government...I've talked to some of my Vietnam vet friends and we say the hell with Obama. We'll go over voluntarily and rid the earth of these assholes. Obama should be ashamed of himself as commander in chief for not taking steps in sending more troops to stop this outrage!

Yeah, it falls on the Commander in Chief to either send the troops HIS OWN APPOINTED GENERAL asks for or get out. Keep it up COMMANDER IN CHIEF...every life lost because you can't make decisions is ON YOU. Shades of Vietnam. Didn't they give the commanders like Eisenhower pretty much free reign in making combat decisions? Were't the Generals like Ike, Monty allowed to run the war? One of the first things they teach you is that your in a war TO WIN....After WWII I think the thinking changed and everyone wanted to be a commander in Washington. Sigh

Here's an interesting poll in terms of numbers.
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/partisan_trends
From what I've heard, Rasmussen tends to skew conservative.
Of course, I'm sure there are other numbers and other polls that probably refute this.
