**JUKEBOX FAVORITES** ROUND 4

Hi everyone!! Kirk, Janey and I are so excited to welcome you as we open the door to the great music of THE 70'S.....JUKEBOX FAVORITES from the years 1971 to 1975. Although I so love the 50's and 60's music, the music from the 70's holds a special place in my heart! It has been referred to as the era of peace, love, long hair, bell bottoms, incense, scented candles, and non-stop partying!! lol!! There are so many wonderful songs to choose from and we are looking forward to hearing some of these great songs again!! We have really enjoyed all of your entries thus far and hope you are having as much fun as we are!!

Round 1 - Any song recorded between 1950 - 1959
Round 2 - Any song recorded between 1960 - 1965
Round 3 - Any song recorded between 1966 - 1970
Round 4 - Any song recorded between 1971 - 1975
Round 5 - Finals....1976 - 1979...Contest hosts will select the songs for this round!!!

SURPRISE BONUS ROUND.......That's right gang...this is a special BONUS ROUND. This round we want you to sing 2 songs....1 for your regular entry to be voted on by your fellow contestants and 1 for BONUS points!!! For those who enter a 2nd song, 2 points will be averaged into your scores this round! There is no penalty for NOT entering a 2nd song...just 2 BONUS points if you do!! There is a catch however...lol...BONUS songs CANNOT BE REPEATED!!! It is first come, first serve on the song. The first person to post their BONUS song entry on the thread has claim to the song.....no other contestant can select that particular song. So you are going to have to be on your toes and watch the thread!!!! Also, PLEASE make sure that you indicate which song is your regular entry and which song is your BONUS entry when you post your entries on the thread!!!

VOTING: CHECK AND MAKE SURE WHAT GROUP YOU ARE IN THIS ROUND and what Group you will be scoring! You will be scoring each of the contestants in the group that you are assigned to vote on. You will be using a scale of 1 to 10.....with 5 being "Average" and 10 being "Excellent". You may use 1/2 point increments. For example….you may give a score of 8.5 or 8.0. Please listen closely to each person and score them according to what you like or dislike. Be sure to leave a comment on those you are scoring so that we know you have listened. And of course, we would appreciate you listening to as many of the entries as possible....out of courtesy to the other contestants. Each person’s scores will be added up in each round and averaged, with their lowest score being thrown out. (This is to keep one person who may have something against someone from giving a low score and bringing the contestant’s average down). You will list each person and the scores you have given them and send this to me and Janey via PM...Janey will see that Kirk gets copies of the scores and it means one less person you need to PM. DO NOT POST ANY SCORES IN THE THREAD!!! If you have any questions, please contact one of us via PM.

Are you ready?? Alright then.....let's get started on the next leg of our musical journey!! Simple??....you bet!!! For both your entries, choose any song from any Genre as long as long as the song was recorded between 1966 and 1970!!! Also, PLEASE remember to put your Group, name of the song, the year it was recorded and the link when you post to the thread. Please also put your Group designation in your song comments. Also make sure you include on your entries which is your contest entry and which is your BONUS entry!! Considering some people will have a holiday on Monday, October 13th and you will be singing 2 songs this round, we have allowed additional time to get your entries in.

RULES FOR THIS ROUND:

1. Songs selected can be any Genre but MUST be recorded from the SS catalog.
2. NO Pre-Records....songs must be posted after the posting date/time of each round.
3. Song repeats are allowed on your contest entry only....no repeats on the BONUS songs. We would like to hear as many different great oldies as possible.
4. You will have 48 hours to get your entry in and 24 hours after the entry deadline to get your scores in for the round.
5. DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES THIS ROUND IS TUESDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2008....6:00PM SS TIME.
6. DEADLINE FOR VOTING THIS ROUND IS WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2008....6:00PM SS TIME.
7. You must post the song before the song entry deadline or you will be Disqualified.
8. Your voting must be in before the voting deadline or you will be Disqualified.
9. Unless there are some real unexpected circumstances, the original deadline will NOT be extended. If something does come up, please PM me, Janey or Kirk and we will determine if there is a valid reason for an extension.
10. NO DRAMA on the thread....PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!
11. Most important of all.....HAVE FUN!!! We truly want this to be a contest you enjoy!!!!
