You know I really think that if a conservative had come up with those restrictions he would be applauded here.

I don't like "G"...I think it's wide open for him to label people according to his own agenda. Where I look at violence as being a matter of killing, hitting, destroying property, etc...he may determine that me standing in a crowd with a T.E.A. sign screaming "NO MORE TAXES" is violent and extreme.

This seems like an exercise in 'who can be more Libertarian than the next'.
There are many proposed bills and amendments that would and do make our collective heads spin. It doesn't matter whether it comes from a D or a R administration.

Well, Even I will admit I've seen people get "over the top" critical of him on a personal level and some people may think I have done the same thing but I think everything I've been critical on has been on something he is saying, doing or says he's wants to do that I feel will have a negative impact.

Well, Even I will admit I've seen people get "over the top" critical of him on a personal level and some people may think I have done the same thing but I think everything I've been critical on has been on something he is saying, doing or says he's wants to do that I feel will have a negative impact.

Reading your post kind of pushed me back because this morning I was thinking about how we (our country) seems to always go into other countries to help other people when we feel they are not being treated right. As I thought about it, I thought even though I don't agree and oppose some of the things going on in our government right now I sure don't want another country coming in here and overthrowing our government to "save" me. And then you post that....LOL

Edit...Now if they were killing us and locking us up I would probably want someone to step in but it's hard for me to imagine what it would be like if another country did that.

thats been my experience as well.. thats why I am quick to snap back at what I see as condescending attitudes and statements by some.
Seems if you are conservative or post a conservative view (Such as anti-abortion just as an example, it can be ANY conservative view) you are quickly jumped on, put down, called names, etc by those that, in my view are extreme left.

The author wrote the article as their view and fear of what can happen NOW if the Obama admin is given that power. But yet is is nit picked because of wording, doesn't matter it is the authors concern of what the CURRENT Admin will do with that power that prompted the article or that it's a legitimate concern at that...
