Look at the station (can't remember which) which brought a shrink on board to give their opinion that anyone that listens to Rush has a problem. This is common with Liberal news outlets. They don't present the other side...and present it as if that person's view is the only one that counts. Have you ever watched when Orielly brings on two views on Obama's actions? Combs is about as liberal as you can get, and he brings him on and Orielly makes it clear that both sides have the right to express their views whether he agrees or not. YOU don't see that with liberal outlets. The people who cut Fox down will tell you "I would never watch them". So where do they get their judgment from? The other liberal news organizations. Wonder if this presentation by MSNBC is going to put MSNBC in the cross hairs for DARING to criticize the Obama admin. Gee, maybe MSNBC is doing propaganda too...LOL:

I disagree that they have been in attack mode, it is more that They are the only ones reporting the TRUTH.. Cnn, MSNBC, et all where promoting and spinning everything about Obama as "Good" Fox tells it like it is and gets labeled biased because they won't promote Obama's agenda...
used to be that was the roll of the News. To constantly ask the tough questions and keep administrations honest.. Now it seems they are expected to fall in line, report only what the Admin says they can and NEVER ask ANY tough questions.. Imagine If Bush had slammed MSNBC because of there outright hatred of his administration...Lib's would have been crawling out of the woodwork bashing him

It's hard for liberals to debate anything on Hannity or Beck since 99% of their guests are extreme right wingers, and I'm not even mentioning Bill "Cut off his mike" O'Reilly. A sample:
A revolving door exists between the Republican Party and Fox News Channel, with a number of former Bush administration officials, former and potentially future GOP presidential candidates, and Republican strategists on Fox's payroll and airwaves. A Media Matters for America review of Fox coverage since September 1 reveals that these individuals, typically hosted alone or on unbalanced panels, often use their airtime to advance false and misleading claims about Democrats and progressives, as well as to fundraise, further demonstrating that Fox is effectively a conservative political organization and not a legitimate news outlet.

I've noticed that liberal blogs (and even recently, TIME magazine which said Fox "LIES") don't give any instances of this MASS misinformation or lies. I do realize that liberal blogs and commentators hate facts, but gee whiz...at least if your going to accuse people (I notice they don't name names or actually give instances where this is prevalant on Fox) people like that Time magazine writer could have at least given proof that Fox is guilty of Sedition. The guy sounds like a 5th grade writer not even knowing what the definition of sedition is, nor giving any proof of such. "Yeah, Tom is a Thief" "Really??? What did he steal?" "Forget that. Just take my word for it and avoid him".

What I have figured out is this. Too many folks in the USA don't really pay attention or care these days, if Jay Leno or David Letterman polk fun of someone, they believe it, no facts needed. Just make the insinuation a person is not good or fair, or they are a dumb butt and theirs your proof. I think that is what the White House's agenda is with Fox. Put out enough propaganda about them being in the same league as the enquirer long enough, and maybe it will catch on and the majority of the country will buy into that... And start dismissing everything that comes from that network... I sure hope the American people are not that gullible... After Letterman's personal attacks on Pallin and McCain this last year I vowed to never watch his show again.
Now I'm going to leave this part of the board before I get myself into BIG TROUBLE, (grin)...

when the fourth estate becomes a mouthpiece for the second estate, all estates are imperilled... all news organizations should be constantly on the attack of the political system and when it becomes a badge of shame that only one is contrary to the juggernaut of the gendarmerie that is wielded by the politicos then our entire system has become a house of cards. any news organization worth a hill of beans should be screaming from the housetops the failures and anemically weak failures of policy and character of obama and every senator, congressman, mayor and street sweeper that we pay to perform public service. they all live like kings and have healthcare and luxury and privilege that none of us commoners could ever imagine yet they claim they are the servants. force them to daily and continually give account of themselves and to justify the billions we pay to keep them in the lap of luxury and prestige. just who the hell is going to keep the leaders feet to the fire if the goal and purpose of the press is to heap praise and laud upon caesar no matter his faults and foibles? i say we should scorn any press that applauds any politician uncritically and carries any banner other than a bright fixed beam of white hot light.

Here I chose a Media Matters story at random:
Bogus "Fox Fact": U.S. Chamber of Commerce, under attack from Obama, represents "3 million businesses" October 26, 2009 9:15 pm ET
In recent days, while discussing the Obama administration's "attacks on biz," Fox News has repeatedly touted the bogus "fact" that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce "represents 3 million businesses." However, as Mother Jones has reported, "most of the businesses aren't direct members of the US Chamber, nor do local chambers have any effective oversight of the national group"; further, the chamber's own spokesman admitted the group's "direct members" are closer to 360,000.
Reply by SirfitzGOLD on October 27, 2009 at 6:08 AM
Funny how they left out just one little fact to promote that Fox reports untruths or is misleading (seems alot do that)....Where did Fox get that number of 3 million? FROM THE U.S. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ITSELF. So I guess the bogus fact is being thrown out by them. Fox just reported what the COC told them.
"Mother Jones reports that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce likely inflates the number of businesses in its membership. While it touts having 3 million members, the actual number may really be around 200,000."

"Fox News has repeatedly touted the bogus "fact" that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce "represents 3 million businesses."
MM keeps saying that Fox misleads people. And they use that story to somehow bolster their claim. If MSNBC had called the COC and reported what they said, there would be no cry from anyone how MSNBC tells lies. MM is making it sound like thats all Fox does. They said that MANY put out misleading stories. That one about the COC was not misleading since the source is the one that fibbed or mislead.

SUMMARY: MSNBC and Fox News aired portions of a New York Times video package that cropped remarks Sonia Sotomayor made regarding affirmative action. The editing omitted her statement that she is "from what is traditionally described as a socio-economically poor background."

Here is a misleading story by MSNBC:
Contessa Brewer, a host on virulently pro-Obama biased MSNBC network television, accused “white people” of showing up with guns to health care reform protests.
Brewer was referring to President Obama's speech in Arizona earlier this week. But as has been pointed out before, one of the men carrying an assault rifles at that event was black...............
Here is part of what Brewer said:
"A man at a pro-health care reform rally...wore a semiautomatic assault rifle on his shoulder and a pistol on his hip....there are questions about whether this has racial overtones....Here you have a man of color in the presidency and white people showing up with guns strapped to their waists."
After Brewer presented this misleading information, fellow MSNBC talking heads went on to further link the incident with white racism, pontificating about white supremacist “anger about a black person being president....we see these hate groups rising up and this is definitely part of that.”
Moreover, footage accompanying MSNBC’s report creatively edited out the black man in question, so as to fool viewers into believing he was white.

it is more important for the media to shine the spotlight on the citizenry than on the governors? hmm. that seems like a 180 turn on what the left promoted in the 60's. i don't trust any news organization that blames the people for the ills of the nation and promotes the government as the solution. i doubt tom jefferson or ben franklin would have considered the pro crown press as beneficial to the well being and best interests of the colonies.

They need to get back to basics. Certain news outlets only report good things and nothing critical. Instead of ALL the facts, they only report a few of the facts. I think that is why Obama has gone ballistic. He is thin skinned and has only been use to the other News outlets getting on board with his policies and when you have one that reports something (Like Acorn) and no outlet will touch it because it makes his supporters look bad, then he attacked that news org....or having both sides debate the Health Care issue....that is only fair and balanced...but what the White House doesn't want to hear is the other side criticizing...they only want to hear ONE side praise the issue...no dissent. This is what amazes me. But this is how it works I guess. If you can't debate the facts or refute them if the facts put you in a bad light, shoot the messenger....or in this case, castigate, demean, and attack on a personal level. Oh for the days of true journalism.

I disagree that they have been in attack mode, it is more that They are the only ones reporting the TRUTH.. Cnn, MSNBC, et all where promoting and spinning everything about Obama as "Good"
Fox tells it like it is and gets labeled biased because they won't promote Obama's agenda...
used to be that was the roll of the News.

I would say Liberals may not like the comments Hannety or Beck makes, but somehow they also dismiss WHATEVER they say. LIke I said, many liberals can't debate the issue or the facts presented, so they automatically call anyone that presents facts as tools of the republicans....lol

A person who lies does so intentionally...same with misinformation...do they have PROOF that anyone INTENTIONALLY lie or misinform.
Give examples or proof. I bet you that I could do some research and find LOTS of proof with Dems misinforming (Like the idiot that got up and said "Republicans want old people to die...thats disgusting to make a hateful statement like that...now thats called misinformation)....You know what they say...people in glass houses...
"Yeah, Tom is a Thief"
"Really??? What did he steal?"
"Forget that.

I completely agree. Nixon pretty much did the same thing...he did not want anything critical said of him, and shamefully used his office to denigrate any news outlet that dared criticize him.

So Fitz, what were you saying about dismissing something because you don't like the source??...as for blogs offering proof of misinformation, you really haven't read Media Matters have you? Of course not, that's one of those librul blogs, and they are to be dismissed...ooops, you don't believe in doing that, right?

Here I chose a Media Matters story at random:
Bogus "Fox Fact": U.S. Chamber of Commerce, under attack from Obama, represents "3 million businesses"
October 26, 2009 9:15 pm ET
In recent days, while discussing the Obama administration's "attacks on biz," Fox News has repeatedly touted the bogus "fact" that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce "represents 3 million businesses." However, as Mother Jones has reported, "most of the businesses aren't direct members of the US Chamber, nor do local chambers have any effective oversight of the national group"; further, the chamber's own spokesman admitted the group's "direct members" are closer to 360,000.

For MM to leave out that fact seems to be MISLEADING.....lol

What part of:
"the chamber's own spokesman admitted the group's "direct members" are closer to 360,000."
didn't you understand?
But that was just one story, like I said do yourself a favor and read some of their stuff before you pass judgement.

Moreover, footage accompanying MSNBC’s report creatively edited out the black man in question, so as to fool viewers into believing he was white.
http://www.examiner.com/examiner/x-19823-Progressive-Examiner~y2009m8d20-MSNBC-lies-edits-out-black-gun-owner-says-white-people-showing-up-with-guns-threaten-Obama
Now, why doesn't MM go after MSNBC for misleading and giving this ACTUAL FACT?

Frank, the whole point is singling out one news orginization and trying to demonize them and trying to make them look as if they are the only ones. Again, this is backfiring because even liberal news is starting to criticize it.

it is more important for the media to shine the spotlight on the citizenry than on the governors? hmm. that seems like a 180 turn on what the left promoted in the 60's. i don't trust any news organization that blames the people for the ills of the nation and promotes the government as the solution. i doubt tom jefferson or ben franklin would have considered the pro crown press as beneficial to the well being and best interests of the colonies.
