**JUKEBOX FAVORITES** ROUND 3

Welcome everyone to Round 3 of JUKEBOX FAVORITES!! Kirk, Janey and I are having so much fun and we hope you are too!!! There are so many great oldies and you guys sure are choosing some great songs...some that we haven't heard in a long time!! We thank all of you for choosing to take this trip back in time with us.

We unfortunately have to say goodbye to 2 more contestants this round....we are sorry to see you have to leave and will miss you!!

If you have kept up with thread comments you know that I completely left out the great oldies years, 1966-1970. It was truly not my intention so I have corrected this as you can see below. So if you had already picked out your song for this round...WHOOPS....you gotta pick another one!! lol!! This round we want you to sing a song recorded between the years 1966 and 1970:

Round 1 - Any song recorded between 1950 - 1959
Round 2 - Any song recorded between 1960 - 1965
Round 3 - Any song recorded between 1966 - 1970
Round 4 - Any song recorded between 1971 - 1975
Round 5 - Finals....1976 - 1979...Contest hosts will select the songs for this round!!!l

VOTING: Sine we lost 2 more contestants this round, we now have 2 groups with 8 contestants and 1 group with 9. CHECK AND MAKE SURE WHAT GROUP YOU ARE IN THIS ROUND and what Group you will be scoring! You will be scoring each of the contestants in the group that you are assigned to vote on. You will be using a scale of 1 to 10.....with 5 being "Average" and 10 being "Excellent". You may use 1/2 point increments. For example….you may give a score of 8.5 or 8.0. Please listen closely to each person and score them according to what you like or dislike. Be sure to leave a comment on those you are scoring so that we know you have listened. And of course, we would appreciate you listening to as many of the entries as possible....out of courtesy to the other contestants. Each person’s scores will be added up in each round and averaged, with their lowest score being thrown out. (This is to keep one person who may have something against someone from giving a low score and bringing the contestant’s average down). You will list each person and the scores you have given them and send this to me and Janey via PM...Janey will see that Kirk gets copies of the scores and it means one less person you need to PM. DO NOT POST ANY SCORES IN THE THREAD!!! If you have any questions, please contact one of us via PM.

NOTE: I am trying to switch the Groups around each round so the same group won’t be scoring the same people each time. Here are the assigned groups for the scoring process for this round:

NOTE: Voting went a little smoother last round, but as a reminder, here is an example of what we are looking for. First of all, please only use whole or 1/2 points not 1/4....5.0, 8.5, 3.5, etc. If I am required to listen and score Janey, Kirk and Jane Doe here is what my scoring might look like......

Kirk - 8.5
Janey - 9
Jane Doe - 7.5

Okay...let's get to singing "them great oldies"!! Once again, this round is simple....for your entry choose any song from any Genre as long as long as the song was recorded between 1966 and 1970!!! Also, PLEASE remember to put the Group you are in when you post your song on the thread, along with the name of the song, the year it was recorded and of course the link. AND...please also put your Group designation in your song comments.

RULES FOR THIS ROUND:

1. Songs selected can be any Genre but MUST be recorded from the SS catalog.
2. NO Pre-Records....songs must be posted after the posting date/time of each round.
3. Song repeats are allowed, however, we would like to hear as many different great oldies as possible.
4. You will have 48 hours to get your entry in and 24 hours after the entry deadline to get your scores in for the round.
5. DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES THIS ROUND IS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2008....6:00PM SS TIME.
6. DEADLINE FOR VOTING THIS ROUND IS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2008....6:00PM SS TIME.
7. You must post the song before the song entry deadline or you will be Disqualified.
8. Your voting must be in before the voting deadline or you will be Disqualified.
9. Unless there are some real unexpected circumstances, the original deadline will NOT be extended. If something does come up, please PM me, Janey or Kirk and we will determine if there is a valid reason for an extension.
10. NO DRAMA on the thread....PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!
11. Most important of all.....HAVE FUN!!! We truly want this to be a contest you enjoy!!!!
