Hello out there in SingSnap land.

It's your pal KD again.

I was going through the Hall of Fame here on Sing Snap and I was looking for people that I have heard or was into contests that I ran or was in and there was one startling fact about the HOF that I noticed (except that I'm not there).

There isn't too much Rock and Roll in there, and that is a crying shame.

Well, being the rebel I am, I decided to help get some new Rock and Roll songs and singers into the HOF, and I know just how to do it!

I am going to host a rock contest.....Imagine that???? LOL.

This one is going to be WICKED different than the last one, and it is going to be the easiest thing you have ever done.

Stone easy.

You guys are ready for this epiphany aren't you!

Well here it goes.

We are going to have 10 rounds of this contest, and it is anything goes.

Any songs from anywhere.

You can use a prerecord any time through out the contest.

You can post as many of the rounds as you want early, or you can post them all at once if you like.

You can do all fresh recordings or use any effects or none, Duets or harmony.

You can sit out one week and do the rest or sit out 9 weeks and only do 1, it is totally up to you.

All you have to do to be in this contest is to put any kind of rock song into the audition thread.

Every round you have to vote for 3 people and doesn't matter what order or who was best, and it can be public or private. No scores and you cannot vote for yourself.

If you post a prerecord into this audition, you absolutely must agree to vote into the HOF the top 3 finishers for that week, even if you do not agree with the majority or sat out.

If you are not willing to do that, do not enter this contest.

Every week, we will tally up the votes and nominate the top three finishers into the HOF.

There are a lot of you that have a lot of prerecords of rock songs that you are proud of.

If you decide to put those in, you could get away with being in and out of this contest for the whole term in less that an hours work, and then set back and listen to the results.

As for listening to the singers and saying who you like the most, most of you listen to singers on here anyway. You are going to know right away if you like it or not, so you won't have to listen to the whole thing if you don't like the bloody thing.

This is easy peezy japaneesy.

Here is the layout.

Round 1. 2000 Rock.
Round 2. 90's Rock.
Round 3. 80's Rock.
Round 4. 70s Rock.
Round 5. 60's Rock
Round 6. Older than 60's Rock
Round 7. Heavy Metal Rock
Round 8. Hard Rock
Round 9. Soft Rock
Round 10. Southern Rock

Each Round will start on Monday Noon and will go until that Friday Noon. We say our top picks from Friday noon until Monday noon and the next round is up.

The last rock contest I did had 161 auditions, so I don’t imagine it will be hard to get people into the HOF this way.

There won’t be pages and pages of rules, because there are not any rules, except that you must nominate whoever is in the top 3 that week, even if you sit out.

Once I put the first week up for September 1st, I will put the whole bloody contest into the active contests and we will have a go at it.

Today is the 20th.

We will take auditions until Sunday the 31st, and on Monday the 1st, the Rounds will be in the contest thread.

Nep just brought this to my attention.

The 2000 Rock, is any Kind of Rock. The 90's the 80's the 70's and the 60's are all any kind of rock, from soft rock to punk rock from Iron Madion to Metallica to Pantera to Bob Seger.

I thank you for even remembering me. I must tell you I have had a most enjoyable time on the first contest you hosted. I don't talk much but I have sure enjoyed listening to everyone and I agree with Renee Nunyabizness when she spoke about your contest being the best, she is so right. You have a quality mind and take such a nice lead in directing matters so as to treat everyone so fairly. That is a quality not seen to often today. So I want to tell you that my freind.
