Welcome to the TOTALLY 80's CONTEST ... ROUND 9 ...THE FINALS

You are here to sing songs from the 80s & Themed Rounds.

Here are the basic rules:

1. No drama, especially on the thread. If there is a problem, pm one of the judges and we'll deal with it privately.
2. Only fresh recordings will be allowed. Except for Auditions
3. Per Usual No Effects, it's Better To Hear The Natural You!! All songs must come from singsnap Library & The Themed Catagory!
4. Please try to listen to others as much as possible to support your fellow contestants! (SHOW RESPECT .. VISIT OTHER CONTESTANTS)
5. Rounds with larger numbers of people will last 3 days, unless of course, all contestants have submitted their songs before the deadline. The final round will last 3 days (AS THERE ARE 4 SONGS FOR EACH OF THE FINAL 5)! We want to stay on schedule as much as possible.
6. PLEASE flag and check in on the contest threads every so often!! It's too time consuming to individually email everyone.
7. PLEASE CLAIM YOUR SONGS, WE WILL NOT SUBMIT BONUS SONGS IN ROUNDS THEY ARE USED UNTIL YOU SUBMITTED YOUR MAIN ENTRY!!

If your song is not submitted by the deadline you will be disqualified, unless the round has not been officially closed by one of the judges. :o) (NO EXCEPTIONS)
8. IF YOU CLAIM IT YOU SING IT, THERE WILL BE NO SONG CHANGES , SO CHOOSE CAREFULLY!!! (NO EXCEPTIONS)

OMG! I MADE IT!

Congrats to my other fellow finalists, and so sad to see the other folks depart us. I'm gonna have to think for a while as to what I want to sing for my choice song, but I must say, the judges have some AWESOME tastes! I got three EXCELLENT songs, IMO, some of the best of the bunch. :)

Here's a toast to Rubik's Cubes, leg warmers, hair spray, and everything else that made the 80's so AWESOME!

Thank you all for such a great contest when I 1st joined I was just aiming for top 20 so to make it to the top 10 was fantastic

My fellow contestants all were great here

The judges were awesome and fair in my opinion for sure a great fun contest and ran so professionally I will join any of your contests in the future

Good luck to the last 5 some great talent there for sure
Will try to be back to get some listens in

OMG I am so surprised at these results and thank you so much for advancing me to the finals! I'm not sure whether to be happy or cry about it as I don't know my song choices AT ALL lmao Four days is actually more like 2 for me, as the weekend will be my only chance to record. I will do my best and try not to let you down!

I am all saddened about the 5 that didn't make it as they were truly excellent singers, and friends. =( I hope you guys know just how awesome you truly were and such talented singers.

So I haven't left work after all.... we still have some tasks we need to finish.... been here 14 hours now and so tired. But I will still listen to all of the entries from last round when I get home.

I am scared of my songs lmao....... and I will need to really think about which song to choose as my entry.

It might if I knew the songs, but I am making a serious effort this round. Luckily I don't have a hard time learning songs at all, BUT as I don't know these songs, I don't know even if they are in my vocal range or not. I will be listening to all three religiously on YouTube and then I will record them immediately after learning them, because that is how I roll lmao

I've had to learn many songs for contests before... the katie melua song being the most recent, and all country songs in my stash.... ALL learned in just a day lmao! But 4 songs, whew, gonna be a challenge fo sho LOL!!! ;-)

I am looking forward to see if I can pull it off with some degree of success lmao, I seriously can't wait lol

I just got home after working 18 hours...... I did promise to listen to your entries from last round as soon as I got home, but was not expecting to get in so late.... it's 3:38 in the morning and I seriously just need to pass out. I will be back first thing in the morning.
