Update:Me and the hubby talked and we will be taking over on the votes...All you guys have to do is sing...lol...It will make things easier...Also most of you know me by now that I don't care what you say or put on my threads but please don't put anyone down...That is what pm's are for...If you find you can't be nice on the threads than remember I will not be nice either...I try to be kind to everyone but if you piss me off than I will be the bitch from hell...I'm the kind of person who says what is on my mind...Many of my friends join my contests and I try to be as fair as possible but I will stand up for them if someone is being unkind...So please be kind...I will be putting this on all of my contests...

Dunno if this is ok or not, but wanted everyone to think positive thoughts and prayers for my son. He is 14 and was running in his cross country meet today, he somehow managed to get shin splints about a mile into the race....he continued the race in really bad pain, to the point he was in tears and 14 yr old boys just dont cry in front of others...he finised the race 5th place out of 165, but fell to the ground right after the finish line. Medics checked him out, iced him down and told us we have to take him to a specialist on Monday. Yall pray that this will heal and he will be able to continue to run, he loves running and he would be devastated if he has to quit. Lisa

Man.. that's gotta hurt!! Sounds like your boy has what it'll take to recover - determination. 5th place while running in agony? True grit! My thoughts and prayers for the young man for a full recovery.

OK TIME FOR UPDATE: Danny had his doctor appt.........he is gonna be OK in time.........he has to change his PRACTICING for a few weeks, kinda take it easy, they put him in a shin Guard splint, but he cant wear it when he races...but......HE wont be competeing this week or weekend (which Of course he hates) but with different exercises, heat/ice and pain pills...he SHOULD be able to compete in State Competition.
