** DUETS COUNTRY STYLE - ROUND 3

Hey Hey everyone.....Crooner and I welcome you to ROUND 3 of DUETS COUNTRY STYLE!! Before we get to the theme for this round, I have to tell you what a great Round 2 it was!!! A big thanks to everyone for selecting such great songs and your performances were just fantastic!! It was truly a pleasure to listen to all the great duets.....you guys are just great!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for helping out with the judging and voting last round in Crooner's absence. I really do appreciate it and I am sure he feels the same!!!! I know it is an uneasy position to have to judge your fellow contestants and I am not really a fan of this process. I want to assure you that you will not be asked to judge/vote for the remainder of this contest.

Unfortunately, we are once again at the point of having to announce the Duet Teams that will not be moving on in the competition....you really don't how much I hate this part of the contest!! We are having to say good-bye to 5 terrific teams, but we hope all of you will continue to visit with us on the thread and share a song or two with us. The following teams will not be moving on with us this round........

As you can see from the banner, the theme for this round is "Rockin' Country"!!! Have you ever been listening to a song and just couldn't keep still?? As you listened to the music, did you have to snap your fingers and tap your toes?? Were you thinking....the beat of this song makes me want to dance? Well that is exactly what we are lookin' for this round. We want you to make us snap our fingers, tap our toes and want to boogey!!!

You once again have your choice of song AND we are opening up the selection to include BLUEGRASS....JUST FOR THIS ROUND!!!! That's right gang.....you can choose your song from either the COUNTRY or BLUEGRASS genre. Just remember if you turn a song into a duet, BOTH partners must have a solo part in the song!!

RULES FOR THIS ROUND:

1. Songs selected MUST come from the COUNRY OR BLUEGRASS GENRE in the SS catalog.
2. NO Pre-Records....songs must be posted after the posting date/time of each round.
3. NO song repeats....everyone must select a different song for this round. It will be FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE....whoever gets the song posted first has claim to the song. If someone repeats a song, they will be asked to submit a new entry.
4. If you select a song and make it into a duet, make sure that both partners have a solo part. Do not submit a song with JUST harmony added.
5. DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES THIS ROUND IS THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2008....8:00PM SS TIME.
6. You must post the song before the deadline or you will be Disqualified.
7. Unless there are some real unexpected circumstances, the original deadline will NOT be extended. If something does come up, please PM me or Crooner and we will determine if there is a valid reason for an extension.
8. No drama on the thread....PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!
9. Most important of all.....HAVE FUN!!! We truly want this to be a contest you enjoy!!!!

lol.. I know.. but he did good this weekend.. he got my new water softner in and all hooked up.. and it works!! he got the other pc working, AND fixed my computer chair... so i thought i'd be nice..lmao!! thank you Kirk!!!!
