Hey everyone!! Crooner and I want to give you a big country style welcome Round 1 of "DUETS COUNTRY STYLE". We have 26 Duet teams competing and above everything else, hope you all have fun...we know that we will!!!. Thank you all for wanting to partipate in this contest...we are excited and ready to hear some awesome country singin'!!! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ ALL THE INTROS TO EACH ROUND.....you never know when we might put in a little twist or two!!
This round will be "CONTESTANT'S SONG CHOICE"!! That's right...YOU get to select the song you sing!! BUT.....don't think this round is going to be easy!! The purpose of this round is for Crooner and I to get a good feel for your voice and singing style because it is going to come in very handy in a future round! So when making your song choice, make sure to keep this in mind!!
With that said...here are the specfics for this round...
1. NO Pre-Records....songs must be posted after the posting date/time of each round.
2. NO song repeats....everyone must select a different song for this round. It will be FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE....whoever gets the song posted first has claim to the song. If someone repeats a song, they will be asked to submit a new entry.
3. If you select a song and make it into a duet, make sure that both partners have a solo part. Do not submit a song with JUST harmony added.
4. You must post the song before the deadline or you will be Disqualified.
5. Unless there are some real unexpected circumstances, the original deadline will NOT be extended. If something does come up, please PM me or Crooner and we will determine if there is a valid reason for an extension.
6. Please make every effort to listen to all entries.....it really makes people feel good to know that their efforts are appreciated.
7. No drama on the thread....PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!
8. Most important of all.....HAVE FUN!!! We truly want this to be a contest you enjoy!!!!

IMPORTANT NOTE:
I want to let everyone know that I am dedicating this round to Crooner and his son!! For those of you who do not know, his son will be graduating from Marine Boot Camp at Parris Island, SC on September 5th!!! I know that he is so proud of his son and is anxious to for him to be home again...if only for a short time!!
To help honor his home-coming, I have created a special song to help celebrate this wonderful occassion. So Crooner this is for you...it is my way of letting you know how much your friendship has meant to me all these many months!! Hope you enjoy it!!!

Well it should be easy ......sing it together and then go to duet mode and mute the mic and let it record "nothing" and won't it add the name and not touch the recording ????
BTW ..... Here's mine and Mindy's Selection for this round .... I think she love's this song as much as I do .... and to think I found this song when I was singing for Dianne in another contest .... I really love singing with this gal .... .Thanks Diz ......
