Summary: You hear people say, “All roads lead to God.” However, the bible exposes this as a tragic error that is leading millions to eternity in hell. By contrast, numerous Scriptures plainly declare that the one and only way to God is through the Savior, Jesus Christ. Let’s see what the bible clearly teaches about the one way to salvation — Jesus Christ!
Acts 16:30-31, KJV ...Sirs, what must I do to be saved? [31] And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
•• Paul did not offer or suggest multiple roads to God. He set forth Jesus Christ as the pathway to salvation.
•• Jesus Himself stated this same truth, as the next Scripture shows.
John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
• Jesus did not allow for other avenues to salvation. He plainly said that “no one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Acts 4:10, 12 [The apostle Peter said] Then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.... [12] Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”
• Not in good works, not in good intentions, not in trying hard. Sadly, millions of people have fallen for the error that says our good works will surely earn us a place in heaven. But the Bible clearly indicates that salvation is by the Lord's grace, not by our good works.
• Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.
• Titus 3:5, KJV Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us. • Only Jesus Christ can save us and bring us to God.
• Jesus came from God the Father in heaven to earth (John 1:14; John 16:28).
1 Corinthians 3:11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
•• Too many people in this world try to lay some other foundation for salvation — for example, the doing of good works; living a decent, honorable life; going to church, etc. These are certainly good things to do, but they are not the foundation for salvation.
• “No one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” Jesus and Jesus alone is the only foundation for our salvation. He alone is the Rock upon which we can take our eternal stand. As the hymn says, “All other ground is sinking sand.”
•• Paul writes to young Pastor Timothy that the only mediator between God and man is the Son of God, who came to earth and became man for us, that is, Jesus Christ. He is the only mediator, the only go-between between lost sinners and a holy God.
John 3:16-18, 36 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. [18] Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.... [36] Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.
•• Who speaks to the Father in defense of us sinners? Jesus Christ!
•• Who is the “atoning sacrifice for our sins”? Again, Jesus.
•• The Bible declares us all guilty sinners (Romans 3:23). What remedy has God provided for that? Only one — “We have one who speaks to the Father in our defense — Jesus Christ.”
•• All roads do not lead to God. It is God, not man, who has the right to determine how lost sinners will have their relationship established with Him. And He has determined that His Son Jesus will be that divine provision for our salvation.
• “The Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.”
1 John 5:11-12 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
•• It is wonderful to find eternal “life in His Son.”
•• It is an eternal disaster to look elsewhere for salvation, for “he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”
Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
Hebrews 9:27-28 Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, [28] so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
•• This same crucified, risen, exalted and only Savior Jesus Christ “will appear a second time ... to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him.”
• Are you waiting for Him as Savior? Or have you fallen for the eternally fatal deception, “All roads lead to God”?
• Jesus is waiting warmly, graciously, and openly today for you to come to Him for salvation. Believe in Him as the crucified and risen Son of God. Bring your sins to Him in sincere sorrow for forgiveness. And experience His welcoming you into the family of God and into the sure hope of spending an indescribably glorious eternity with Him and with God the Father.
Snack, now that is some good Bible truth right there....
and I would like to add that if and when we are born again we will bring forth the good fruit of the Spirit.....sometimes right away,....sometimes after much, and long days of struggle with God and our sinfulness (trials and temptations), Jesus brings us to utter dependence on Him for every good thing (what a sweet and powerful place to be). This can be found in the book of James, the faith and works teaching, but I know you know the scriptures (that was for others)... All glory and honor and power be unto Jesus Christ the Lord...... forever and ever, King of Kings and Lord of Lords who holds the very atoms of the universe together in their present existence.... ;)
A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. They on the rock [are they], which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of [this] life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep [it], and bring forth fruit with patience.
If you are suffering in life and waiting for God to do something for you but your prayer has not been answered as of yet, there are certain things that can you can do that may help the prayer that is hindered. If we have unforgiveness in our heart for anything or anyone, ask God to forgive you and remove that from your life. If you have an offence with anyone, try to resolve that with them and God. If you can't fix it, ask God to forgive them and you and he will. Also if you have any type of bitterness in your heart, it's not going to do you anygood to carry it so ask forgiveness for it and let it go. Free yourself from these things once and for all! They are only hurting you. I learned from these in my own experience and it has been a tremendous freedom to just let it all go. :) God bless you and may you get your healing or that family member saved, or whatever it is you have ask God for.

Wow. You obviously are not aware that people with different beliefs can also have a relationship with God, AND, have their prayers answered. I invite you to read my topic "Jews who have a relationship with God" on this same message board. I find your views (as is with most christians) to be very slanted and shallow. To think that only those who believe in Jesus Christ can have an active, wonderful, and fulfilling relationship with God. You have a lot to learn. I could be a little aggressive and remind you that JEWS are the chosen people, not christians. Jews do NOT believe in Jesus. Some do believe he may have been a teacher, and others will give him as much as prophet status, while others do no believe in his existance at all. It all depends on what you were brought up to believe. And, I did go to different churches over a 10 year period and am sorry to say, that all I found were that they were full of hypocrites. Meeting and getting to know many different people in these 10 years, I can honestly attest to the fact that on Sunday they were the people the pastor expected to see in church, but.... Monday through Saturday, they were totally different people. Not many people TRULY convey the love of God in their everday lives. I know of only one woman who truly does this, and I totally admire her for it. Oh well, I'll shut up now, but again, I invite you to read my thread "Jews who have a relationship with God"
I read your topic. I didn't reply because Jesus is the only way to God. Jews are the chosen people but refused the gift of God's son. When they refused, God closed their eyes. So therefore the gentiles were grafted in. God has a covenant with the Jews and he will honor it. But how will they accept it is the question.
In all, God cut 4 covenants with Abraham and his descendants and none with the Gentiles. The Messiah Himself was a Hebrew, Who lived as a Hebrew and died as a Hebrew. These covenants embody all God's promises and fulfillments. By being grafted into the commonwealth of the God's Kingdom, the Church becomes an equal sharer in these covenants.
New Or Renewed Covenant (Jer. 31:31-34) Jer. 31:31-34 state the cutting of a new, yet not brand new but renewed covenant with the House of Judah & House of Israel, descendants of Abraham. There was a need for renewal because the people had consistently failed to keep the Mosaic Covenant. The fault lied with the people, for they did not mix hearing the message with faith (Heb 4:2, 8:8). They were a stiff-necked people whose hearts were hearts of stone. Thus, it was the heart that needed to be changed not the covenant. Through the sacrifice of the Messiah, God sent His Holy Spirit to dwell in each believer's heart and made it a heart of flesh (Jer. 31:31-33; Heb 10:16) and He wrote the Torah onto each heart.
The Messiah became the central element in the Renewed Covenant, He whom the patriarchs had looked for by faith. He is the Son of Abraham, the Living Torah & the royal Son of David. Today, we have Him in our hearts, still by faith.
The Messiah brought about 2 major changes:
1. His sacrificial death provides full atonement for sins and fully replaced the animal sacrificial system under the Mosaic Covenant. 2. Through Him, Gentile believers are now grafted into the nation of Israel as promised to Abraham in Gen 12:3.
Through faith in Yeshua, (Jesus), Son of Abraham, Gentiles can now call Abraham their father & David their king & Yeshua Himself their Messiah. This blessing started with Abraham, father of all the uncircumcised who believe (Rom. 4:11). In fact, Gentile believers also bear the Abrahamic sign of circumcision done for them by Yeshua (Jesus) upon their hearts (Col. 2:11). Thus through Yeshua, our Lord, Gentiles have a part in all the covenants that God made with Israel. In Him, Jews & Gentile believers are one. The sign of the Renewed Covenant is the blood of Messiah (Luke 22:20). Through His blood, all the promises of God for Abraham's seed become a reality for any that believes.
Have we arrived at this covenant? By faith in Christ, yes. By life appropriation and realization no, because many are still far from the abundant that Jesus promised. The author of Hebrew warned us - fear in case we fall in the same plight of missing it all. We have to enter by obedience. But obedience to what? Obedience to the wholesome truth of God.
As far as church goes, there is so much religion in them, that people cannot go in to worship God anymore because of it. Read religion versus salvation thread I made.
snackstix wrote:I read your topic. I didn't reply because Jesus is the only way to God.
Wow. I have to say here, that christianity is a faith based religion. You blindly believe in God and Jesus. Every christian I have ever known, believes that their "blinders have been removed" and they now see clearly what God wishes them to see. But I have to say, you are so unforgiving in your posts... in otherwords, you do not even ALLOW for any other belief system, that it is you, who is blinded. Yes, I am a Jew, but my eyes are wide open. I not only have experienced God's love for me in my life, but I live with the KNOWLEDGE of Him everyday. And I have always kind of chuckled when people say they are "grafted in". If two trees are standing next to each other, and the one tree is true, it is all its own, it is strong and healthy.... and then the 2nd tree... has many many parts of it grafted in. Which would you rather use for shelter in a hurricane? The tree with the many grafts will most certainly fall apart, literally at the seams.
I am not trying to antagonize you, but, when you push YOUR beliefs on someone else it is "ministering" or "witnessing". However, if I tell people of my beliefs, I believe you see that as pushing what I believe on you. I do not need scripture to tell me what I know to be truth. Yet you use it at every chance to try and prove your point. Well, the bible was written so long ago, and has been translated many times over to get to the King James Version, that nobody really knows for sure if anything at all in the bible is accurate. So you take it on blind faith it all is. So I don't use the bible and study every little verse in it and quote from it when talking to people. I don't trust it. The Torah, kept in the synagogues, is the closest thing we, in our lifetime, will ever know to be as close to God's writings as man can possibly get. I am not telling you to not believe in the bible. But, common sense can tell you when some things are either misinterpreted at some ponit, or just plain incorrect.
The bible has survived for thousands of years. I don't believe the way you do. I'm sorry you have to degrade me for that, but I half expected it, it's not that I don't respect what you believe that has nothing to do with the fact that Jesus was born of a virgin and lived to about the age of 33 and is your messiah the Jews were looking for. Because he did not come in the way the Jews expected him, but they still were many accepted him although not all, like the pharisees. Your free to believe what you will. I cannot force you to believe only tell you what I think about the matter.
I can understand why you think Jesus was not the messiah. But He is. He says I am the way, the truth and the life, NO MAN cometh to the FATHER but by me.
"Therefore God exalted him [Jesus the Messiah] to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Philippians 2:9-11
Anyone who willfully, knowingly rejects Jesus as the Savior will miss out on salvation and the opportunity to live forever with our Father and His firstborn Son, Jesus.
"He [Jesus] was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:10-12).
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this." (Isaiah 9:6-7).
"The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved" (Romans 8:19-24).
"Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. For your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with guilt. Your lips have spoken lies, and your tongue mutters wicked things" (Isaiah 59:1-3).
"No one can come to me (Jesus) unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day" (John 6:44).
Well anyways, here is a lot of scripture. I know it's not all, there is a lot more. But take it or leave it, but when Judgment comes upon us, you can't stand before God and say you did not know, or blame me for not telling you. God bless you and have a wonderful night.
Once again, you reverted to using scripture instead of speaking your own mind. I can't believe how much you use bible passages to get across what you are trying to say. It's like you are trying to prove that you are well educated, at least as far as the bible goes.
I have not seen one thing form you that is based on personal experience. You start to write, and then defer back to bible verses. At least my knowledge of God is based on personal experience, and I have a wonderful life. And I don't need scripture to prove anything at all. Like when God healed my dog... (story of that written in my thread), people can believe it or not, I really don't care, but I do tell people about it. God's love and kindness and generosity just surpass any other living thing.
So, when you care to share you own thoughts, I might be interested in those, but am certainly not interested in having a bunch of bible verses thrown at me.
Also, what you said at 6:42pm today, and I quote, "Don't guess you came back, lol". Very childish in my opinion... guess since I have been gone all day today, and just got home a short while ago, and this is the first chance I had to get back to the message boards, it seems to me that you are letting me know "I WIN". Believe me, you have won nothing!
It is apparent this is going nowhere but I pray you find your PEACE in God because I have. I am not going to argue with you because it's apparent to me that is all your after. Goodnite
This is scriptural truth and the bible in my opinion is the real thing. It's funny how many people have tried to destroy it, and it still survived all these years. So God had a plan, his plan for mankind. His plan was his son, Jesus. That is the best I can describe it. No one else had so much love to give no one. I hope this thread helps someone.
• Jesus did not allow for other avenues to salvation. He plainly said that “no one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Snackstix, please understand, I am not trying to argue with you or degrade your belief system. But if what you are saying (as well as the new testament), is true, how do you explain God saving my dog's life? And the many other prayers he has answered?
I really am not trying to antagonize you, I am asking this question to get an answer. I just don't understand. If the only way to God is through Jesus, how then, did God hear my prayers, and answer?
God is good. He may want you to find out how good he is so you can find out the truth about Jesus. I don't know the answer, sometimes God brings people into our life to help them. All I know is Jesus is the Son of God, not just a prophet. He resides in me because I ask him into my heart. When I did, he changed me, took a load off my shoulders and gave me freedom. He took my sin. ALL OF IT. I couldn't shoulder that sin on my own. He sacrificed his life on a cross for my sin, why, I didn't deserve it, Jesus sure didn't deserve to be beaten beyond recognition, his beard plucked out, a crown of thorns placed on his head, his cloths bet on, sold for thirty pieces of silver, fed vinegar and gall on the cross that he carried up the Calvary hill breaking him down so that if the other man had not been instructed to help him, he would not have made it, they nailed his hands and feet to that cross, yet he opened not his mouth. How much LOVE has anyone in this life shown you like that? How many people would actually die for you? BUT HE DID. They pierced his side and then he gave up the Ghost. A rich man, pharisee, took his body down, wrapped it in clean linen and place him in a new tomb with a stone rolled against it. They place guards there so no one would say they try to steal him, YET angels came and rolled the stone away when God raised him up from that tomb. WHAT LOVE! He still bears those nail prints. He will come back with them is how they will recognise him. He prophesied it. They will mourn as they see him coming as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. So that is why I say, thank God he set me free from the law of sin and death. He will set anyone free if they ask him. His spirit is in me and the holy ghost resides in me. I know that I know. btw God is merciful.
Jesus, snackstix, give it up! In the final analysis you don't know diddly from squat other than what you have allowed to into your mind ..........dang girl!
I like to think god dwells within us all. We're either in tune to the part within ourselves that is other-worldly, or remain blind to the presence (even after some effort).
That's what I'd LIKE to think, but the realist in me is constantly aware of how the mind works and realizes that perception and feelings are dependent of neuron activity.
Either way, it's fun to think about most of the time.
snackstix wrote:Don't use Jesus name like that. Your the one who don't know. You need to quit bashing God and his people.
That's the way he works...He comes in the belief threads just to start trouble because he does not believe in God...That's his choice we are not bashing him for that...He needs to stop bashing God and those who believe in and love him...
I believe the Bible is the true Word of God! I believe that Jesus was born of a Virgin, died on the cross for our sins and rose again in 3 days. The Bible says that if you do not accept Him as your Saviour you can not be saved! Whether or not you believe this is your own choice but some people will never believe until they face God and then it's too late. I totally, 100% agree with snackstix. You keep on ministering honey, if people don't agree or don't want to read it they need to go somewhere else. This is your thread and they come on here to deliberately tell others about their thread. You can't make them believe if they don't want to so no need in arguing. (IMO) God Bless You Brenda. Keep up God's work!
We do know some things. We know that God has been a part of the human experience in one form or another ever since recorded history. We know that there are many books that claim to be the inspired word of God. I've read some of these and came to the conclusion long ago that the Bible is authentic. Perhaps others do not feel that way. That is the wonderful thing. America is a free country and you can believe what you want.
Christianity is not a blind leap of faith. Christianity is based on historical fact. It is a fact that a man named Jesus lived, claimed to be the Messiah, and was crucified. He claims that it was for the remission of humanity's sin. Of course each must make a personal choice to follow Jesus. Archaelogy has authenticated many people and places in the bible that once were thought to be myth. The process of unearthing artifacts is an ongoing one. While these findings, these archaelogical artifacts, do not prove that Jesus is the Messiah, it certainly authenticates many bible places and people.
Make no mistake about it, Christianity is a very, very, very, very, narrow faith. Jesus said this: "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." Now if Jesus is telling the truth, this leaves out ALL other ways to God. He is saying here that if you do not come to know God through Jesus, you will never know God at all. That leaves out Islam, Reverend Moon, L. Ron Hubbard's Scientology, etc. etc. etc.
Your so right....Jesus said the way is narrow himself....few there be that find it...and I personally believe the bible is true myself. It is living word of God. The words jump out at ya. The bible itself in the new testament says that, If they had written books about everything Jesus did, that it would fill the world.....John 21 verse 25 King James Bible And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
Here's something that riddles me: If God is omnipresent (which most collective beliefs conclude), then what is this path? If God is everywhere, then isn't the best way to find her to open your eyes (and heart) and experience?

can you send me a link to any of these findings from a unbiased source? I would love to see what these archaeological have found.
she thinks the jealousy of God is comparable to the jealous that humans express. It's not but she took it that way and that was the changing point for her and now she leads millions of people who want to feel "intellectual and enlightened" into her way of thinking.

It's not? There's a debate about this in another thread. You might be interested enough to check it out.

I don't think it was the sole changing point. That might be over-simplifying it.
I still don't understand why you think she's ignorant?

Jer.

The bible itself in the new testament says that, If they had written books about everything Jesus did, that it would fill the world.....John 21 verse 25 King James Bible
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
Wouldn't that be amazing!

If God is omnipresent (which most collective beliefs conclude), then what is this path? If God is everywhere, then isn't the best way to find her to open your eyes (and heart) and experience?
