My song is for my nephew! He passed away June 7, 2005 seems like for some forever ago...but for us it seems as if it were only still yesterday...there are a few songs that i can't even sing b/c they mean so much to me but to others it's just a song

my nephew was my life! he and my son were only a few months apart from each other in age...i helped my brother and his wife when he was small with babysitting...it was hard on us all having small children and daycare was out of this world...

my son swears that if he could have talked brett in to going with him that day instead of his friends talking him in to going with them he would still be alive...my son blames himself and said that he should have tried harder to get brett to go with him...

brett was off of work for the first time in a week...and stayed up the night before...my son brendan called him and asked if he wanted to hang out since they hadn't gotten to since they had both started new jobs...brett told brendan that he wanted to stay home for the day and enjoy his day off...but for him to come over at 4 and they would go hang out...go the movies and "cruise" around...right after that brett's friends called...he told them that he was going to rest and then catch up with his cousin later...he would hang out with them this weekend...

so they didn't take NO for an answer...they came over to his house and talked him in to going with them...3 hours later brett was dead...soooooooooooooooo this song i just love...there is a video there with it...just turn down the sound on the video...i still haven't figured out how to get the video's on my songs..lol...

i think of all of the songs i have sung here on ss this one and one more i have sung with everything i have...so this song is for my nephew Brett Wade Cook...RIP BABY I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU EVERYDAY!!!!!

I did this for a "very" special friend on her birthday.
