I also believe that you can do anything you want. This is a letter that I sent to Trevor regarding this issue...He then asked me to talk to Novella. I don't know if it's too late but it's my last ditch effort to try and salvage this event. I have a lot of money invested in it and it would be a shame to see Trevor's, Sandra's and my efforts trashed because of lack of interest! All the reunions that I've heard of up till now have been a success and soooo much fun. Why can't this work out?

Trevor, I was wondering if you would do me a favour and put an announcement in the newsletter or post an announcement somewhere where people can see it. Terry(Scotty35) started planning a SS TAMPA REUNION back in August and has been creating a webpage and organizing a hotel room for Singsnappers to get together. I heard that we were even going to tapping directly through Singsnap at this venue. Well, quite a few people voiced some interest. I had put my name down quite a while ago in the beginning stages of this idea when the date hadn't even been determined. When the date was nailed down, I immediately went to the travel agent and booked my ticket. I didn't want to miss this. My goal was not only to meet SSpers but also my good friend Sandra (Islandgirl54). I was offered her home to stay in while visiting. If it hadn't been for her, I probably wouldn't have been able to swing, going down there, with all the other costs that I had to incur. Now, it seems as though it may be cancelled due to the lack of response and committment on behalf of those who'd half promised to come afterall. Terry was very discouraged and sort of handed over the responsibilities to Sandra who is in no position to take on the full task of handling anything financial. I don't know if there's anything you can do to urge people to sign up apart from my plea on my songs as well as Sandra's and Terry's. This may not be something you should have to worry about either but we would really appreciate any help. The deadline is SUNDAY now or we lose the hall. I don't want to send any money down, nor does Terry expect me to, unless this is a GO! I have been waiting in the wings to do just that.

BTW, the trip won't be a total loss as I've been looking forward to finally meeting Sandra, but I'm using it as BAIT right now!

Lois - this is the first I've heard about your message to Trevor, but the newsletter team has discussed having an article about SingSnap events, although not exclusively about the Tampa event.

The next issue of the newsletter will not be released until early November so any mention of this event will be last-minute promotion at best.

As for my participation -- I indicated from the beginning I could come on Saturday and am still planning to do so. If there aren't enough people for the original venue -- could the plans be scaled down somewhat to accommodate the numbers which are coming?
