Welcome to “A Quarter For The Jukebox” Round 7. Sadly we have to say goodbye in the main competition to 7 of our contestants and (1) due to having to withdraw. We lost some more really good singers this last round. Scores are still really tight so it’s anybody’s contest as we go into the last round where you (as a contestant) will be scoring. I would like to invite each person who is eliminated to continue singing with us in the Soda Shoppe. You are still a part of our jukebox group as long as you would like to be. I enjoy hearing all of you but unfortunately in all contests we have to make the numbers smaller in the main competition. I would also like to ask anyone who has been eliminated if you would like to volunteer to be on the panel of judges for the last 3 rounds of the contest (Rounds 8, 9 and 10) to please send me a pm. All judges for the final 3 rounds will remain anonymous. Rick and I could sure use your help.

I think by now everyone knows the rules. They will remain the same throughout the contest. If you need to refer back to them here is a link back to Round 4 where all the rules are in detail.

This is the last round you will be scoring before our panel of judges takes over. You will continue to carry your scores with you but the panel of judges will not know where you are ranking. Low and High Score will continue to be thrown out each round. This is a cushion to keep any one person from low balling or high balling a contestant.

Find your jukebox. You must choose one song to sing from your jukebox for your entry unless you decide to spend your quarter and sing from one of the other jukeboxes. You can only do this once during the whole contest unless you win one of the challenges for an extra quarter. This is the last round for the trivia challenge.

Ya know....I have the worst luck with the jukeboxes...LOL!! Patsy has been the key singer in a jukebox for 2 rounds so far and I have missed her both times!!! Tears here!!!! LOL!!

Yeaaaa!! Im so excited!! And I stuck with my Jukebox and it finally paid off this round! I have the choice between a Lightfoot or a Badfinger. I currently am waiting to find out if I need surgery on MY OWN bad finger so I may have to go with Lightfoot. LOL
I'll record when the girls go down for a nap!

Hi Rita! I'm in Group C. Thanks so much for putting me through to this 7th round. At the moment I'm still under the influence of the dreaded "influenza." I did the best I could with this song as my entry. The story behind it is Bobby Darin wanted to do a tribute to one of his Idols: Marty Robbins. So; he wrote this song in Marty's style and tried to emulate him. I had problems with the backup harmony provided on the karaoke track and basically just sang it in my own voice.
