This October 24th, I am going to see Vicki Lawrence, my doppelganger, in her two woman show.......titled "Vicki Lawrence and Mama".......she does a little stand up/singing...etc.....
I have FRONT ROW SEATS!!!!! Plus......I am wearing my full Thelma Harper costume......it's going to be so much fun! Surely if I'm sitting on the FRONT ROW looking just like her, she will see me!!!!
I will post pics of me in my costume before I go...and if I'm lucky enough to meet Vicki after the show and get a picture taken with her, I will post that too!
I am sooooooooooo excited!

Here is my fabric, lace and pattern for my new dress....along with my purse and "hat"......today someone gave me some round wire rim eyeglasses...and all I need now are some shoes....

Good luck on the dress. It'll come back to ya! I hadn't sewn in a long time and my daughter wanted me to make her senior prom dress. What an honor but I was skeered! What if i screwed it up?
I literally finished it minutes before we were to leave for pictures lol. It looked fabulous on her and she got a lot of, your mom made this?!?!?! comments :D

Good for you for taking on the challenge of the prom dress! I've never made one of those either......but I did used to manage a fabric store, so I sold everything for the projects and gave advice.....lol
I'm just hoping this one fits okay once I get it made, because I sure don't have time to lose 20 pounds! I'll be posting more pictures as I progress, but no pics of me in the full costume until the day of the show!
I'm still searching/begging for the right shoes....that's all I need now....and I cannot afford to pay $91 for the SAS shoes......so, I'm still looking!

Hi Debi, i used to make most of my clothes, for the kids and myself, they had the latest fashion as i could cut out without a pattern, my it seems a lifetime ago, don't think i'd know where to start now. those were the days hahaha.

Mission accomplished......found a pair of shoes on ebay for $22.50, with free shipping! Now I can relax and finish my dress.....and look forward to the show!
I have a friend whose son works at the local newspaper in Corsicana......so, here's hoping they send someone to do a story.......and maybe I'll get my picture taken?????
My poor hubby.......I sure do ask a lot of him.....good thing he loves me so much!

Dress is about 75% finished....still have to hem sleeves and skirt, sew on the lace trim....and I will have to add shoulder pads to make it fit right......
