You can sing anything you want. All I ask is that it's something you've never sung before, and that you took the time to put some effort into learning it.
Sometimes we snatch up a new song and just wing our way through it, not really knowing how it goes. Nothing wrong with that, but for this Challenge, I'd like to see how well we can do when we really try.
We all have our own definition of 'personal best' in regards to our recordings here, and no one is expecting perfection. Just sing what you want, and enjoy learning something new!

What you've described is the way I approach most songs--even the ones I *think* I know.
Ever jumped up to sing the rousing chorus of some familiar favorite and then had to stand there blinking going "ya mean this has VERSES?"
Even if you know them by heart, there's always that final @#%$ing page of nothing but "ooh ahhh oo-oo-oo-oo-oo yeah hey whoa yeoww!" showing on the screen. Just when you thought you'd made it thru OK, too.
I only knew a couple of the more typical "bubblegum" Monkees songs until I heard a friend do this one a few weeks back... loved it, learned it, polished it...and here it is!
