Giving The Best You Got - Round 1!

Hey everyone! I'm blown away by the number of people who joined us - 140 people!!!! I'm SO happy to say that everyone who auditioned gets to sing in Round 1! I can't wait to hear all of your songs, and see what you guys can do!!

So - here are some things you should keep in mind for the contest:

1. Judges for this contest will be myself and supermom2288. I'm thrilled to have her helping me out, she has MAJOR talent, and I know she'll do a great job!

2. I dont want to see ANY negative or mean comments on other recordings. It would be great if you all commented on each others singing, but if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything. This is for FUN...!!

3. No duets for this one. I will accept pre-records NO older than July 1st! I know some of you may be busy with work, family, etc., and you may not be able to submit fresh recordings.

4. Each round will last one week, no exceptions. It wouldn't be fair to others who had their songs in on time. There will be a different theme each week, so keep watching!

5. Everyone will be marked out of 15 points per judge. There will be 5 points for the quality of voice (pitch, words, clearness, etc.), 5 for the originality of the song (how much you've made it your own), and 5 for the overall performance. I will not be posting marks on the boards, but if you would like to know your mark, you can pm me.

6. NO DRAMA. If there is anything you have a problem with, send me a pm, and we can deal with it privately.

7. Due to the huge (and AWESOME) response to this contest, I will not be able to PM everyone to let them know a new round is up.. so PLEASE, flag this topic, and keep watching and checking up.

8. And the last but certainly not least.. have FUN with this, make the songs your own, and please try to comment on other's songs.

For the first round, I thought it would be fun to have a GENDER BENDER theme. All girls have to sing a song by a male artist, and all guys have to sing a song by a female artist! Due to the large group of contestants, I thought it would be so much fun, because there are so many songs to choose from! Show me what you got!

125 contestants will go on to round 2 of the contest.. so try your best!

This round ends SUNDAY, JULY 27th, Midnight snaptime.

Awh thanks miss! It's my first time doing a contest, so I wanted to be super organized.. so i have spreadsheets, and Word documents.. lists all over the place.. so i wanted to get them down, and saved, so I don't lose anything! lol
