Comment box placement

It might be nice to have the option of where we would each like the comment box...some like commenting AFTER reading the other comments

You can only do that if you use Firefox though can't you Connie...or has anyone worked out a way to use it with other browsers yet?

I have it too, and it's really cool!
Get Firefox & Greasemonkey, then you can google for SingSnap scripts, eh voila!

Firefox is better anyway! (And you should get FireFox FoxClocks too ...)

Can we pleeeeease, pleeeeeeeeeease have at least an additional comment box added in the area before the comments begin? Actually after all the song info at the right side of the player would be perfect. Pretty please? ;)

It really would make it easier to watch a video and comment at the same time instead of scrolling up and down and up and down and then missing parts of the video.

Ok, put the "Views" and "Rating" in the same row. Then put "Rate Recording" in the next row with the text menu next to that (same row) and submit button next to that...Waaalllllah!! We now have room for it!

I write html code from scratch and I don't think there would be a conflict in the code with the text menu for the rating selection temporarily dropping down over the comment (text box) area while a user is selecting the rating...they are 2 separate references in the coding.

Although I don't know how that would interact with how they have this site setup and I don't recall having a text menu that close to a text box before...probably have...been writing code for 10+ years so probably came up at one time or another.

In any case, these guys do a great job with the site...if they implement a change in regards to this item I am sure it will be a great improvement over the text box at the bottom of the page thing.

Please, no. I rate as honestly as I can. This means very few 5s. This opens the door for so many hurt feelings. I'd rather we did away with ratings altogether if they connected comments and ratings.

Javascript...more on the lines of that, but not only that you don't want it dropping down when ya writing that would be most annoying.
That's why it's a good idea that the comment activates the other or something so not used simutanously.

The javascript controls and outlines the text menu itself. I was referring to the html that controls the structure of the page and that area in particular meaning the placement of the rating selection menu. I was thinking more along the lines of changing the structure of that up so as to make room for the comment box below. Doing so the way I was thinking wouldn't make it drop down over the comment box "when" you are writing because my thoughts were to get rid of the big grey box that the menu is currently contained it...it is hard to explain.

In any case, I just hope they do make changes to this soon. Whatever they come up with, a comment box anywhere towards the top would be way better than the way it is now because it is a pain scrolling up and down and then missing parts of some videos and replaying, blah, blah, blah...lol. *crosses fingers* :)

And I am all for the comment box activating the ratings menu...if you want to rate people with less than 5 there is no where to hide then...lol.

I'd love to be able to comment while watching a video - as it is now I mostly start scrolling down while listening, reading other comments (which I love doing :)) ) and start commenting the song while I listen - especially when I get really excited about it lolol... I like being able to comment on things affecting me during the song as well as after I heard the whole thing!
All fine and dandy doing that - except I then often miss the video and have to go back up and start all over. If I try and scroll up and down quickly as the video/song is played to _watch_ what I'm commenting the whole page starts lagging or the sound starts skipping :S
I guess I should be more patient but sometimes I really want to comment WHILE I'm listening and it would be great to be able to do that while I'm WATCHING also...
