badiguard's real name is william shane lely. william shane is 46 years old, is located in Northern Mariana Is. and has been a SingSnap member since October 9, 2007. So far he has made a total of 75 recordings.
Badigard, in his own words...
"My name is William Shane M. Lely. I'm a 46 yr old male self employed with a karaoke/bar and a security firm. I was born and raised on this rock in the middle of the Pacific ocean called Saipan. Although it is small..it is still home for me..surrounded with beautiful beaches and lush greenery, u could probably look at it as a smaller version to Hawaii. Born an islandboy, I still respect my bloodline which consists of german, pinoy, spanish and of course chamorro. I was blessed to have had wonderful parents that exposed me to the outside world not only outer islands within micronesia but to the U.S. as well.
I was a resident once of Tucson, Ariz. after my mom married my stepdad..then moved to Texarkana, TX...then Oklahoma. My prior job had also landed me in the States mainly Williamton, Kentucky and various other places nearby.
Being born in a US territory, I am a US citizen by birth. I was fortunate to have a family of 5 kids although separated and a single parent now, I still felt blessed with what I have.
I love sports of all kinds except golf..I hate walking after a ball that I swat for yards..I love bowling, football, baseball..and most any outdoor sport. I am also a nature lover and an avid hunter..though it may be strange but I always had this knack to be one with nature..but doesn't mean I can't hunt or fish to survive.. I also love camping, trekking thru the wild and just enjoying the outdoors. ""

I enjoy singing and meeting new friends. I have been having such a great time recording!! I so needed some time alone and this was the perfect place to be!! I have also run into so many of my friends and also met some new wonderful friends and I thank you all!! I very much enjoy listening to all of you!! The talent on here is incredible!! I also want to thank all of you for taking the time to post your wonderful comments on my song page. I appreciate each and every one of you so much!! Please add your pic to my map ,,this is way kewl so I can see where you are from!
I was born in Ohio and stated singing at the age of 8 in school functions.
My parents were both musically inclined as well. My mother played several instruments and my father was a wonderful tenor.
As I grew older I joined the glee club and performed in High School musicals.
While in college I was in musicals and plays as well.
In 1985 I moved to Las Vegas and it was then that my music career really took off.
I sang background for a major entertainer here and filled in for many others. I never made it as a headliner but thats ok because I was so happy with what I was doing.
I also directed major concerts here in Vegas. Behind the scenes is almost as rewarding as being in front of an audience,,especially when my shows were a hit :-)
I loved the life I had here in Vegas with all the glitz and glamor and the traveling tours.
In 2002 I retired from performing as the tours and the many hours of rehearsing was getting tiring.
I write songs and poetry and have for many years as my hobby.
I met some friends who sing online and told me about the many sites to do this and the rest is History,,here I am and loving it and loving all the wonderful people I have met online...yes they are real people with real lives and true frienships.
Thank you to all the members of the SSRC for such a warm welcome...I already love each and every one of you!!

I gave that a try for a few weeks, but because our main thread is our busiest and our members enjoy posting graphics, then this was the best solution. The momentum on that thread was hard for me to control because many members, including myself, enjoy graphics. Thus, this was the best solution. We can just chat here, post our music, compare "notes" (pun intended) without worries about our photobucket accounts or jpeg and gif files and most especially not worrying about images or BBCodes (don't you just hate those? lol)!
So, welcome to this thread my dear romantic. There we can harness, embellish, adorn the alphabets and the English language to our hearts content - another challenge!!!

"WHEN I FALL IN LOVE" CONTEST[/b][/color]
"I started singing gospel music at the age of 4 with my father and two sisters. The “Dubrick Family” traveled throughout Canada singing at churches and other events. We recorded an album when I was 5 (definitely not the technology we have today ... all huddled around one mic!!!). Three years later my father died suddenly of a heart attack, but my sisters and I continued singing as a trio. A few years later our trio picked up a few additional members and became “The Joyful Sound”. This group also recorded an album (a bit better than the one we made when I was 5 ... at least we each had our own mic and headphones!).
With the responsibilities of work, marriage and raising children, I gave up singing for about 10 years until I stumbled upon SingSnap, which has renewed my zeal for music. If you check out my page, you will see that I enjoy joining other SingSnap members in duets, most likely because of those early days singing harmony with my sisters. It’s funny, because from time to time I still have people approach me and say …. “I remember when you were little and had to stand on a chair to sing!"
I want to thank all of the WONDERFUL people I have met here in the RomanceClub (especially you, Poppy!). What an amazing group of friends and vocalists from all around the globe! Luv you guys!!!!!"

IMPORTANT REVAMP IN OUR MEMBERSHIP METHODOLOGY!
When we began Romance Club, our membership list was easily manageable. We have now grown to a point where I can no longer control membership in the old-fashioned manner, you know, adding new members manually like I used to. More than that, it has also become more difficult to keep track of active and inactive members. Therefore, I have revamped our membership system. Everyone will need to register AGAIN. Please forgive me for this as I know some of you have already registered in the past. I thought that Google Group was ideal for us but I found their system too restrictive. This time, I found the best system and the link is now in our webpage and message boards. This is the best system I found online and that is the new SSRomance Club with ning.com. I have tested the system for the past month and I was reassured that it will work well for our club. So once again, may I request you to register for membership?
This revamp will be ideal for us because we are sort of starting on a new slate, if you will. This will give a chance for some inactive members to "bow out" with no embarrassment or stress. It also cleans up the fake or phony memberships I had discovered from our old long list of members. I also won't question why you are bowing out. I will fully understand. Congratulations! This is a new slate for our Romance Club. We already have over three dozen members that have registered at the new SSRomanceClub. Hurry, we're waiting for you!
