It was very, very, very close this round. We had some terrific singers, and I really hate to see some of you go. A lot of factors influenced my decision this round. However, if you feel that there has been a mistake, PM me. Please do not post unfriendly comments in the thread. Again, I'm sorry that all of you couldn't advance, and I hope you all will participate in my future contests. :)

Theme: Harmony
This round we are going to be adding harmony to our own songs. Remember: singing harmony is not simply singing in unison with the melody, but rather harmonizing by singing a 3rd, 4th, or 5th above or below the melody according to that chord. Read more on harmony here. You may sing a song of your choice, but there are restrictions. 1. Do not sing the same song you sang last round, or sang with someone else last round for the bonus. 2. I would rather you sing a song that does not have backing vocals. But, if you do, do not add harmony to the part of the song that the backing vocals are harmonizing with you. When I hear the harmony, I only want to hear your two voices. Hopefully this makes sense to you. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me, or post them in the thread. :) Do not add a third part of harmony to your round three submission, please.
Just like last round, you will receive two critiques via PM this round. One from me, and one from an anonymous critic (there are several). In your critique, we will point out your strengths and your weaknesses. If you feel that there is something very wrong with your assessment (eg. we critiqued you on the wrong song, or we gave you someone else's critique) feel free to reply to your PM. Also, if you need us to elaborate or if you want more information, feel free to reply to your PM as well.

Vocal Tips For This Round
I couldn't think of a better tip for this round than I had for last round which was - PRACTICE. This round is packed with very, very talented singers and every little note, pitch, and beat counts. One sour note could mean the end for you. Practicing eliminates insecurity and instills confidence. Confidence helps you sing better! One other thing that could mean the end for a contestant this round as well is song choice. Be sure to choose a song that is challenging, but not too challenging that you strain your voice, but just enough that you avoid your weaknesses, and show off your strengths. Good luck everyone!

Rules:
1. No drama or face automatic disqualification.
2. Please take all inquiries about criticism to me via PM. Do not discuss critiques in the thread.
3. Each round, half of the contestants will be eliminated.
4. Do not get discouraged if you do not make it to the next round. The idea of this contest is to challenge you vocally so that you can become a better singer.
5. Keep mixing effects to a minimum, but harmonies and originality are permitted.
6. Try to listen and comment on your fellow contestant's songs.
7. All songs must be in by the deadline. If there is an issue, PM me.
8. Make friends and fans, and have fun!

How does one go about singing more than one harmony with oneself. I tried to sing harmony with one someone else had already done harmony on and it wouldnt allow. Can be sing more than one harmony on a song. that would be awesome. Looking forward to you answer.

lily04 is very tiredGo to your account and edit your recording to allow duets. You can add as many layers as you want. I've put 4 part harmony on a song by doing that.
To sing with someone that's put harmony on their song, they have to do the same to open up duets on that song.
