Exactly. Another kick in the butt for the blue members & absolute proof positive that SS only cares now about trying to generate GOLD members & add to the fire that has caused so many to feel so put down and/or divided on here. Just one more reason that I refuse to sponsor any more members with a Gold membership as I started to do in the past.

My suggestion now, would be for ALL Blue Members to set their Privacy Settings for Show Online Status: to NO

Personally, I feel it was INDEED an invasion of my privacy that SS had this setting defaulted to YES rather than NO

Sorry folks, I had to vent over this, simply because I wasn't given a choice to even know that Gold members could actually see my Online Status, until I read the details on that General Discussion Board.

If you really think about it..are gold members really given the choice as to what features are brought on to the site?? It is their choice as owners of this site to do whatever they want with it..as it is our choice to pay for it or not ...as it is our choice to even use the site or not. Bottom line is singsnap is a business..and with any business they try to bring more revenue by offering more services to the paying members. I know other karaoke sites were pay only..so maybe be greatful this still offers a free service.
