I did not get his talent that is obvious. :)

Lots of art in my family especially from my mom's side. All sorts of art forms. My grandma was an college instructor in ceramics and did some really cool pottery and figurines.

i drew this picture a couple of days ago using a pen... i decided to try and draw the statue of liberty without looking at a picture of her - and i was so pleased with how it turned out i coloured it in.... - with felt tips... then i thought the american flag would look good behind it... i didnt quite get the spacing of the stars right but oh well!

i might frame it and hang it on the wall

This is really nice Deedle. The only thing that I've ever painted was a unicorn on a wine bottle for my mom ...a long time ago. It came out really good...and it surprised me, wasn't expecting it too...lol. But I had a picture to go by...and I'm not good at free-style painting. But always wish I could do stuff like that....

I must not be an artist...because I don't understand....why are you mad at your beginnings of the mural you painted? :-)

Like an artist needs a reason. LMAO We're artists. Moody and tempermental is our bread and butter. *edited to say* Sorry wasn't trying to be abrupt, just a poor attempt at humor. lol

People wanted me to paint murals of wine bottles and boards with cheese on them for some wineries in the Napa area...I said no. The murals I have done have had no rules and no boundaries. That's my style. I meant to be a tat artist but chickened out...lol. Luckily muraling and decorative furniture and other painting has given me an outlet.

I painted this from a photograph. The barn is over by Rice Lake. Real close to where I live now. But when I'd taken the photo, I lived in another state. Just one of many ironies of my life.

Acrylic on canvas

It's pretty dark here. I need to rescan it someday. After I find it. lol.

Those clouds are goners..I HATE them...lol! I am creating a 'spa like' bath fit for a queen. The murals need to be palest robin's egg blue..subtle clouds and a 'few' soft features....a bird, a sprig of leaves hanging down...not totally sure. But serene feeling. I've done lots of children's murals and I got carried away on these by overdoing.

Those are very nice...colored pencil??? I've done that lots when my husband is fishing. Sometimes I paint rocks and then leave 'em for the rock hounds to discover. :o) I love to take my box of 64 crayons down and color...then scrape with a nail file and rub colors together when they melt in the sunshine.

It's lots of fun leaving the rocks. I sometimes write things on them...like...love endures...or stuff like that. I love rocks....and sometimes paint them into animals. My sister tucks my bunny rock under her shirt every time she visits trying to confiscate it..lol. He's pretty cute!
