is 27 views and 0 commentS a good thing or a bad thing.........have 27 people clicked on a song and clicked off straight away, have 27 people heard ya song and thought it was so bad, they decided to say nothing..........i mean 27 people clicking on ya song and not one even saying good morning to ya.......is this good or not so good.....lol

they click thru your song to sing it themselves. watch the page and you'll see several others sing it most times.

you see...i dont sing for myself, i sing to entertain,,,im a showman........if i was singing for myself, i wouldnt need expensive computors and radio mics and flashing lights to do that.......i can do that on the bog........lol
so if nobody wants to hear me, then i may as well turn everything off, save my electric and just sing when im washing my pots or doing my chores........lol........if i was a newbie, i wouldnt mind, but ive been here 15 months and some of my earlier songs have over 1000 views and 100s of comments.......so this is telling me that my popularity is going downhill........,,mmmmmm maybe this needs some seious thinking about now

hey donny if i was you mate i would seriously not worry about the people who click on your songs.. i used to get annoyed when nobody commented on my songs,but i have a diff way of thinking now.as long as im in good health and so are my family i really dont mind if people wanna listen or comment on me.
i know its frustrating so i know what you are getting at.

i hear what ya saying wocca......but its like being an entertainer.......ya not gonna wanna sing in a club if the audience aint listening to ya......iwas a dj for 15 years, and the odd occasion if i did a job and i dont like the way it was going, i wouldnt be keen to go back there and play again.......its all about enjoyment.......i can enjoy singing to myself without making a fool outa myself.......the only time i get people attention is when im goofin around or swearing on a song......when i try doing a serious song, nobody wants to know........so what is the point.....do i have to goof and swear in every song........nah.....thats not the true me.........sometimes i like doing the sad ballad or country love song......but i dont need to waste my electric if only me is gonna listen to it,,,,,lol........i am seriously thinking of hanging up my mic now......i can stay on the boards and still pm, but the singing has neared an end for me today....

You hit the nail on the head, Steve. I sing for me, and I sing to maybe bring Joseph a smile if he's feeling up to smiling. Thats what's important to me. Any added listens are just nice. :)

Maybe the campaign IS working: The spammers don't want to be caught out again but can go straight to somebody elses song to save them searching for one themselves and get their name in lights as soon as humanly possible.

i have decided to sing my last song today......im gonna do an open duet as my final recording..............so if anyone wants to do the last song with me, theyre very welcome to........ill still be on the boards and ill still subscribe to support the site........i still have good friends here so i will stay in touch through the boards and pm and msn.........the last song i am ging to do is gonna be golden rings by tammy and george jones........then thats it for me....

Good advice. I have seen how this affects people almost like an affliction and for the life of me I can't understand why. That's not to say I can't sympathise though; the theory is that all those commentless views are because they don't like the song or the singing so it becomes upsetting. It just seems a bit of an unusual triviality to get so wound up about. Be like me - annoy everyone and they'll leave you alone!

The question to ask yourself in that case is:
Why are you here?
You obviously enjoy singing, so if you stop that just because of a couple of lousy spurkers it's almost like letting them win AND you're cutting off your nose to spite your face. Hardly making a stand is it.
I come on the boards through the day cos the pc I use has no sound; it's how I still get to contribute with those restrictions.

Aw shucks.
There's the irony to it I suppose. By the time I get home and am able to record something I feel like I've already spent enough time in here and after I get a few listens in (DREADFULLY short on those - sorry folks!) I can't be bothered.
I need to be driven to it - currently, for one reason or another, I'm not inspired. Plus my lodger is doing odd working hours and there's NO way it'll happen while anybody's about.

Well I don't think I've heard any of those sing but I'll take your word for it. And I'm the same with my own voice - makes me cringe to hear it.
The reasons I sing are obviously different to yours, but if you can truly say you are no longer enjoying the experience then I agree; you should stop.

I think maybe people are not "listening" much anymore. Hence, the spammers who don't listen. Just the way it is.
Donny, hun, why are you posting words like "stop singing", "leaving the site", " stop starting threads" here when you turn right around and eat those words? Quite confusing...perhaps no one takes you serious because of this...
and...if you are singing for fame, maybe you should do some marketing on your fan club...LOL...and you know that listens and comments mean absolutely nothing here other than "how big is your fan club"...
Sing for those that love ya...and most of all, it's the listens that are important...I mean, why sing a song here if no one else hears it...To me, just knowing someone besides me heard my song is what does it for me.

lol mark, i didnt find that to be the case when i went there a long time ago, but thats just me.
Donny, why not open an inner circle, allow your friends into it, and let them know via your status when you sing a new IC song. that way, no spam, and the ones who truely matter will still be able to hear you singing.

i listen to around 50 songs a day hun,,,im on the sick now so i spend all day and all evening on here,,,so yes hun,,,im doing my fair share of listening and commenting.......i probably duet half the songs i listen to.....lol......

I heard ya sing there donny and you can definitely carry a tune.... but everyone got a niche mine happens to be metal hard rock Im no Ozzy or anything(I figured I would use a name of a singer that you old timers might recognize ;) but Its what I am the best at and is what Im into, but Ill sing Sinatra or country or anything....... I know yours is comedy you had me laughing my ass off earlier today ..... Its like when an actor like Jim Carey does a drama..... nobody takes it seriously but still a hell of an actor...... Theres alot of great singers on snap that are spot on, but you got personality and thats what its about!!People come to your page for a good time and surprises .......not to hear you belt out some perfect pitch Micheal Bolton.
