SINGSNAP GONG SHOW ... ROUND 8... THE FINALS

WELCOME TO THE SS GONG SHOW CONTEST
WHERE THE CONTESTANTS WIELD THE GONG!


BASIC RULES:

**************************************************
1. No drama, especially on the thread! If there is a problem, pm one of the judges and we'll deal with it privately.

2. Only fresh recordings will be allowed. (Except Auditions Can Be Pre-Records)

3. No effects - this includes MMSB (Make Me Sound Better) and ANY EXTERNAL MIXER that adds reverb or other unnatural sounds to your voice.

4. Please try to listen to others as much as possible to support your fellow contestants! (SHOW RESPECT & VISIT OTHER CONTESTANTS)

5. Rounds with larger numbers of people will last 3 days, unless of course, all contestants have submitted their songs before the deadline. Rounds with less people will last 2 days.

6. PLEASE flag and check in on the contest threads every so often!! It's too time consuming to individually email everyone.

7. Songs MUST be listed in the SS library (blue members, if you have a "gold" backing track, you may record it IN THE SS PLAYER - NO WIDGETS - on American Pie as long as the track is already in the SS library)

8. CLAIM YOUR SONGS - No 2 songs can be the same. CLAIM YOUR SONGS WITH TITLE AND ARTIST BEFORE SINGING!

9. IF YOU CLAIM IT YOU SING IT, THERE WILL BE NO SONG CHANGES , SO CHOOSE CAREFULLY!!! (NO EXCEPTIONS)

GONG SHOW RULES:

**************************************************
1. There will be 4 groups of 9 people (36 total). Each group will be assigned a judge. You are REQUIRED to listen to your entire group and comment on their songs to show the judges that you've listened. If we don't see a comment (it can even be a banner to mark your spot), we will assume you haven't listened.

2. You will be listening to and judging your fellow contestants according to the judging criteria below (no need to score points, though). At the end of each round, you must PM YOUR GROUP JUDGE with your pick(s) for who gets "GONGED" (who you think should be eliminated).

3. You must wait for ALL members of your group have submitted before you can "GONG" someone.

4. Judges will also submit their "GONG" pick for each round.

5. At the end of the round, judges will tally the vote counts for their group

6. STARTING ROUND 4 you will be gonging contestants from the entire list of contestants. This means you'll have to listen to 19 people. You will still PM your GROUP judge with your gongs.

7. If we don't see any comments by you and/or you do not submit gongs to your group judge, you will automatically be gonged.

8. THIS IS STILL A TALENT CONTEST, so listen and judge your fellow contestants adequately. JUDGES RESERVE THE RIGHT TO VETO ANY VOTE IF IT APPEARS YOU ARE "GANG-GONGING" UNFAIRLY (i.e. NO ganging up on the best singer to further your own chances).

10 points – Song Choice
10 points – Originality
10 points – Clarity Of Recorings & Voice
20 Points - Overall Vocals (Pitch,Clarity,Range)
10 Points - Difficulity of Song Choice
