..wax used in the making of effigies...ready for sticking the pins in later on. Wont make any difference of course. The spammer probably sounds like they are having pins stuck in them as they sing already hehehe.

Everyone should be correctly acknowledged in accord with how well received their recording has been by the community at large. If I put a recording out there that was just me screaming into a mic, could I really, honestly, expect anyone to listen all the way through and comment on how great I had sung?

People can sing how they want to sing but please, if you sing like a hyena on heat, dont expect the false praise that comes from a vote onto the hall of fame. Be happy that someone has even had the strength of character and correctly fitting seat restraint, to listen.

But the hof will change, in time. If owned this site I would be absolutely seething that the good intentions of the hall of fame has been hijacked by self-indulgent and self-centred people out to alter it to suit their own delusional ends. I'd be doing my utmost to redress the balance and create a hall that reflected genuine votes from an unmanipulated community. Surely that was the original intention? Not to see who can be the greatest vote spammer on Singsnap? Makes my flesh creep to be honest.

No..just normal snappers going about their business and not being canvassed or persuaded by all manner of means to vote for something they know little about but feel obliged for various reasons to vote for. We all know the subtle ways this can be done; 'Oh please vote for little Johnny..he grew two heads overnight and would really appreciate being in the hof. 'My anti-war message really needs to be heard...can you please vote it up there so everyone can see it?' 'Welcome to Singsnap! This vote will tell me what a good friend you can be' etc etc. We all know these sneaky tricks and they are designed to achieve only one thing..hof votes for the self indulgent individual canvassing for them.

My friend will forgive me I'm sure for not going door-to-door with the spamming. I just wanted to see what it felt like.

Let me tell you some thing; I am very uncomfortable with even THIS much. Maybe it would be a more fitting tribute to him if this recording wasn't visited for the wrong reasons anyway. He deserves better that's for sure.

I have been doing a bit of spamming, just to get a taste of what all the fuss is about. Not a lot though, certainly nothing in stranger's PM boxes. Only scratching at the surface really.

More than enough to know that it leaves a nasty taste in my mouth and I don't think I'll be doing it again.

just let everyone vote spam like they do now..but also add a button once a song is in there for people who don't think it belongs there to vote it out...Once the song is voted out it can't get back in.

It's interesting how long this thread has continued to thrive, the HOF has always been, and always will be a sore subject, sooooooo why not eliminate it altogether? It really serves no purpose other than an ego booster or continual discussion on how to improve it (which NEVER happens). I say restructure the whole dang thing or eliminate it altogether! lol Surprise us!
