Maybe they expect you to pull out, but there is steady traffic coming and you will get in a crash if you do. I'm a pretty aggressive driver and not at all chicken to pull out. It's misuse of the horn. They are only supposed to be used certain times. One of these times I'm going to get out of my car and go freaky on one of these obnoxious horn blowers. I usually flip them the bird when they do this cuz I can't tolerate when they blow their horn more than once and there is oncoming traffic that I can't pull out into. I wish I could hold out a sign that says "WTF do you expect me to do? Pull out and have one of these cars smash me in the drivers side door you *sshole!!!!!" LOL

you gotta love the language differences between countries (and i'm just referring to english speaking countries....)
like how a group of British lads would react to an American tourist introducing himself to them as "Randy"
or the looks that an American female might get when they talk to British people in general about "going out with her girlfriends"
granted with tv and internet use more people are becoming more aware of the language differences, but i'm sure there's still people that would become rather wide eyed....
one pet peeve that strikes especially if i'm in a hurry.....
people who sit at junctions and have enough time to get out two or three times and instead just sit there waiting for the car that's way down the road to pass first.... or, people who sit at the traffic lights after they've turned green like they're still waiting for something.... (especially frustrating if after they go, there's only enough time after the lights have changed for another 2 cars to pull out)

A friend and myself were talking,(talking as opposed to whispering) in a bar in London and an American lady tapped my friend on the shoulder and enquired, "Do you speak English?" He replied, "Yes I do, the Queens English, not that bastardised version that you do!" I dont think she understood.
And before anyone complains: Adj. 1. bastardised - deriving from more than one source or style.

I can't be blamed for speaking the bastarised version of English. This language was forced upon the tribe of which I am a member. That's my excuse :P
Oh yes, just to let everyone know, I've never referred to any of my friends as "girlfriends" or "boyfriends". That's just too weird. Chidder will back me up on this :)

My biggest peeve about what is going on with contests here lately. I have enjoyed singing in the contests very much. What I have seen within the last couple of months or so is that the members hosting many of the contests seem to be doing so for their friends or relatives. The judging has been absolutely horrible and the best singers don't make it to subsequent rounds. I know that sing snap can't do anything about it but I just wanted to vent a little. Just takes a lot of the fun out of singing.............Bob

Hi Bob.......I'm sure most contest are fair & square on SS, however I don't doubt that some of what you say goes on. I have been in "Live" karaoke contests where the listeners voted and let me tell you, the ones with the most friends won...... :(

Hmmm, well for SS I think its when people post those "spam" comments on your song pages and you can just tell they didnt really listen to your song.
My mom is really sick and has been for quite some time,so on a personal level one of my biggest pet peeves is when I hear my friend or just teens in general complain about how stupid or what a pain their parents are. (particularily their mothers) I am always like well at least your mom is healthy and can actually do normal things with you. I can't take a walk with my mom or stay out for too long because she gets tired quickly. If I want to go somewhere with her the place has to be wheelchair accessable and its just an ongoing struggle..but don't feel bad thats not my intention! But anyway, It always bugs me to hear people complain about things like that.... Ok,rant over..anyone else?

Everyone's situation is different and I admire you for taking care of your Mom. yes, many complain for "petty" reasons about their parents mostly due to immaturity. However some do have valid complaints but it might be hard to sort the different ones out.
My Mom is 84 and I love her and hope she lives to 100+.......however as good as she is, she has been "verbally" (and I mean very bad) abusive since I was a child (cursing me out and telling me what a loser I am) and it is "VERY" hard to ignore and still hurts........... :(
Ok.....told more than I meant to >>>>Venting......

Me to a salesman friend: How did you get on the other day?
Friend: It's bad for everyone in sales right now.
(Interpreted to mean I did badly but you had better not think it's anything to do with me. I'm the best salesman out there. How dare you think otherwise!).

WannaBeLOL try singing out of your fav genre comfort zone..... :)))Everyone's situation is different and I admire you for taking care of your Mom. yes, many complain for "petty" reasons about their parents mostly due to immaturity.

Men who instantly interpret a straightforward question as a slant on their manhood and feel the need to provide you with information you didnt ask for because clearly you must be a bit dim and dont realise what is going on in the world:
Me to a salesman friend: How did you get on the other day?
Friend: It's bad for everyone in sales right now.
(Interpreted to mean I did badly but you had better not think it's anything to do with me. I'm the best salesman out there. How dare you think otherwise!).
And the golf one where someone has lost to you and normally has a smile as broad as a golf course when they beat you:
'Well I wasnt really trying hard today'
Pathetic.
