DONATIONS ARE NEEDED TO HELP IN SAVING MORE LIFES TRAPED UNDER THE FALLEN BUILDINGS AND ROCKS.
Hello my dear singsnap family members: Hugs
I would like to make a special request for people to watch this You Tube video about the earthquake in sichuan started on May 12th 2008 ranging from 5.1 to 7.8M earthquake. And please keep china and the people of china in your prayer. china is still suffering from the after effect of the week long ice storms in the southern part of china back in February this year. And the recent earthquake is even more damaging to life and properties as well as economy of china. http://youtube.com/watch?v=FzZxrJ0lTs8&feature=related
So far from what I had read there were 15,000 peopel killed in this disaster and thousands and thousands of people are injured. Countless people including young students are still trapped under the fallen buildings and fallen rocks from the hills and mountains. Some of the towns and villages were completely wiped out.
You are welcome to send your cash donations to red cross china so that supplies can be bought in the city nearby for easier transport to the disaster areas.
That was indeed a tragedy. And now I am reading about the aftershock that happened. I have been, and will continue to pray for the victims families. You are a true blessing from God to go out of your way to set up this thread. And yes, you can contact your local Red Cross and they can help you get to the right place to make a donation to the Chinese Red Cross. I would love to go over there and help out in any way I can, but, With my health the way it is, I feel I would only get in the way. My heart breaks and I just start to cry when I see the photos of the victims, and I cannot imagine what they are feeling or what is going on in the minds of their families. May God bless you and yours for what you have done here.
My prayers continue on for all those who are sufferings because of the Earthquakes, Tornados, Cyclones, Fires, Storms ( or Floods ). May God turn the sufferings into a blessing for them and others around them.
I thank God for touching the hearts of so many people to reach out and lend a helping hand to these people and their love ones, regardless of the different in tongues, nationalities, cultures, backgrounds, beliefs, social values etc.
Please pray and also work with God in sending the needed spiritual, emotional, and physical helps to these people. Jesus feed the multitudes, then teach them the words. And people marvelled and followed Jesus.
Let us follow the footstep of our Lord Jesus in following the command of God the Heavenly Father even onto death for God's glory. Let us search the bible and know about the true image of God. Let us live up to the standard of the follower of Jesus Christ here on earth. Let us exercise what the Lord has taught us in the Commandment of Love. I am still watching the news and amazed at the love that has been expressed in the whole rescue events. It is such a joy in seeing each life being saved. I myself had visited the beautiful sichuan, the world heritage national park and the dam. I now truly can relate to what it is said in the bible " heaven and earth" will pass away but my words will not pass away.
Many visitors are trapped in the beautiful national park "jiu zai gou" and " huang long" as the roads to the national park are cut off.
I just heard from the china news, 60 voluntees have gone in the park now to send in the collected cash donations, food, water, tents and warm blankets. The locals within the park are really united and helping each other to set up temporary homes. This is a real expression of love and care.
Within a day, over one thousand of tents had been built. The rescuers walked 8 hours to send in the food, water, warm clothing and tents. Some of them left their own personal supplies behind as they came out of the disaster area.
The spirit of courage and hope can be seen on the faces of the rescuers.
Some of the people came as a voluntee with basic needs after reading the news through the internet.
please continue to pray for china's earthquake victims and the weather. over 34,000 people are confirmed death and over 24,000 people are injured. Many more are still missing. Over 2,000 people had been brought to safety today in a village about 2,000 ft above sea lever; after minor earthquake. There is a prediction of a 7M earthquake that might happen sometime today. The major dam upstream of a state is facing the danger of bursting the bank if another major after shock comes its way or with the continous heavy rain storms.
because of the ship we can reach the shore because of cold the bird flew to the south because of the darkness the sun is becoming brighter because of the long gone winter, spring returns because of all the giving reward comes its way because of love we go through the difficult moment with a smile because of love miracle is on its way ====================
We thank God for the love that He had expressed through all the people who had been so giving and loving in helping sichuan china to save life, healing the injured, house, cloth and feed the needies. May the earthquake and the after shocks be stopped so that the rescue works and the rebuilding of the lost homes can be carried out safely.
Oh Lord, our hearts go out to all the victims of the sichuan earthquake disaster. May the good Lord keep the souls of those who died in the tragedy. May the injured be healed and live restored in them. May the lost parents be united with their children. May the one thousand or more children who lost their parents and relatives be given a nice a warm home to continue the remaining journey of their life here on earth. May the hearts of all the alive victims, be comforted. May helps come to them soon in rebuilding their homes.
May the school be rebuilt quickly allowing the children to get back to their classes as soon as possible. May all the bad memories in their young hearts turn to a strength for them to live as a better person as they grow up in the society without some of their classmates, teachers parents or relatives.
May the life in sichuan areas be rebuild into even a better and joyful community, loving and helping one another, living closer to each other's hearts! May the people grow to believe and trust God our Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord!
In Jesus Holy name we pray amen and amen. ===========================
News update - as at 11:30am china time Mon 19th May 2008.
Miracle happened a man age 51 was saved from the rubbles after 147 hours trapped without food or water.
Please pray for good weather and the ceasing of all after shocks as one of the major dam is in danger of breaking. If that happens it will flood the whole place down stream. Because of the areas are in such hilly areas and hard to reach geographical locations with roads cut off from the earthquakes since May 12th 2008. Thank God that 3 routes had been unblocked, enabling the people to transport aides to the nearby town. Supplies are hand carried to the remote areas with hours of walking through the dangerous after shock hilly areas. The weather is also making it hard for the helicopters and planes to reach. At times the rescue team had to jump from a 9000 km heights through the clouds to reach some of the disaster areas.
Because of LOVE they went without any hestitation. If we can love a bit more this world will be a better place to live in. We may not be able to predict disasters but with Love we can overcome the difficulties that the disasters had brought about.
God bless you my friends and may Love dwells in you and shines through you abundantly!
Linda .......... ========================== " Touching moments" Oh Lord I thank you for the children in sichuan china and the courage you have given them! Their innocent smile is a real inspiration of the rescuers to go on. Despite the fact that they were burried under the rubbles for hours and days covered with wounds and dirts they still managed to squeeze out a smile and said " xie xie (thank you) uncles and aunties"
There was a brave students used his hands and dug out a hole and led 33 students out of the rubbles. There is another young student the monitor of his class was busy helping his fellow classmates out of the danger areas before the wall collapsed on him. He has been saved by the rescue team but seriously injured.
MIRACLE HAS HAPPENED A FEW HOURS AGO ON MONDAY MORNING IN SICHUAN CHINA. OVER 160 HOURS A 61 yrs old lady was saved out of the rubbles when the team was doing a blanket search among the rubbles in the worst hit area, Beichuan. Another lady 50 yrs old were also saved 3 hours after she was discovered.
China has announced 19th-21st May as the days for memorial for the over 30,000 deaths during the sichuan earthquake. People are to keep silence for 3 mins and entertainment places will be closed for 3 days.
The children has organised prayers with little candle for the souls of the death and those who are still waiting to be saved. The theme is LOVE. A big heart lighted up with burning candles shinning out the love on these children's faces.
The love that the chinese people have expressed through this tragedy is greatly commentable. And I thank the people all over the world for your kind hearts in prayers and donations in helping this "Miracle Actions of LOVE." =========================== Tue 11am china time - news updates please continue to pray for china's earthquake victims and the weather. over 34,000 people are confirmed death and over 24,000 people are injured. {"I rejoice in knowing that... There is no oil without squeezing the olives, No wine without pressing the grapes, No fragrance without crushing the flowers, and No real joy without sorrow."
See: 2 Cor 1:5-7; 2 Cor 7:9; Phil 3:10-11; Col 1:24 http://www.sermons.org/adversity1.html ============================================================= "Love" expressed- 512 sichuan china earthquake
The reports and the pictures I saw in the news flashes in my mind. My soul shocked, my spirit soared, my tears flow into a stream of song. Oh I want to sing a song of joy to salute those who had been squashed in protecting the life of others.....
I am humbled in knowing that ... There is no one able to love the way our Lord Jesus did but there was this teacher in sichuan willingly gave his life, spread his body out like a cross took the weight of the wall fallen behind him protected the precious life of the students under him. He was that olive; squeezing out of him was that oil of love serve as the light, the hope for those young life. Because of him these young life have the hope for tomorrow. Oh I salute you, the righteous warrior of Love.
Another 29 yrs old teacher gave his life spread out his arms held tightly onto two young students. The rescuers with tears in their eyes force to cut off his arms and took the two young life out of the rubbles. His body is not complete but his soul is whole and holy. He once said if I have wings I will give them to my students so that they may spread out the wings and fly high. Oh great is you, a young teacher of Love, a spiritual eagle. You need no wings to fly, soar high into Heaven now! The wind of love are your wings. Oh I salute you, the greatest eagle of Love.
Oh there was this selfless mother kneeled and curled up with head touching the ground, arms tucked in so still and so quiet, the gentle breeze brush over her body. But when the rescuers picked her body up there in her bosoom, joyfully they found this young innocent baby, kept alive with the protection of her mom. Oh I salute you the greatest mom of Love! May your soul rejoice now in the bossom of the Lord.

Thank you so much Amymama, snackstix and George for you love and concern over the people in sichuan china. Thank you for your prayers too.
We don't understand why disaster in such a large scale happened in sichuan in such hard to reach hilly places, but we believe that there is a great lesson or reminder that God want us to take it into our hearts. The warning that God has given to all through the bible for us to go back to the Heavenly Father through our Lord Jesus Christ for He is our one and only Savior and Lord.
The Lord is our savior, our teacher, our helper, our comforter, our protector, our sole provider of everything we need to accomplish each plan God has on us.
May God, the Heavenly Father, have mercy upon the chinese people who know not God and our Lord Jesus Christ. May God turn the sichuan earthquake disaster, the sufferings of the sichuan people into a blessing. May the people be drawn closer to God through our Lord Jesus Christ, the truth, the way and the life to the Kingdom of God, life eternal. In Jesus merciful and mighty name we pray. amen and amen

The major dam upstream of a state is facing the danger of bursting the bank if another major after shock comes its way or with the continous heavy rain storms.

because of the ship we can reach the shore
because of cold the bird flew to the south
because of the darkness the sun is becoming brighter
because of the long gone winter, spring returns
because of all the giving reward comes its way
because of love we go through the difficult moment with a smile
because of love miracle is on its way
====================

" Touching moments"
Oh Lord I thank you for the children in sichuan china and the courage you have given them!
And I thank the people all over the world for your kind hearts in prayers and donations in helping this "Miracle Actions of LOVE."

"Love" expressed- 512 sichuan china earthquake
The reports and the pictures I saw in the news flashes in my mind.
My soul shocked, my spirit soared, my tears flow into a stream of song.
Oh I want to sing a song of joy to salute those who had been squashed in
protecting the life of others.....
I am humbled in knowing that ...
There is no one able to love the way our Lord Jesus did
but there was this teacher in sichuan
willingly gave his life, spread his body out like a cross
took the weight of the wall fallen behind him
protected the precious life of the students under him.
He was that olive; squeezing out of him was that oil of love
serve as the light, the hope for those young life.
Because of him these young life have the hope for tomorrow.
Oh I salute you, the righteous warrior of Love.
Another 29 yrs old teacher gave his life
spread out his arms held tightly onto two young students.
The rescuers with tears in their eyes force to cut off his arms
and took the two young life out of the rubbles.
His body is not complete but his soul is whole and holy.
He once said if I have wings I will give them to my students
so that they may spread out the wings and fly high.
Oh great is you, a young teacher of Love, a spiritual eagle.
You need no wings to fly, soar high into Heaven now!
The wind of love are your wings.
Oh I salute you, the greatest eagle of Love.
Oh there was this selfless mother kneeled and curled up
with head touching the ground, arms tucked in
so still and so quiet, the gentle breeze brush over her body.
But when the rescuers picked her body up
there in her bosoom, joyfully they found this young innocent baby,
kept alive with the protection of her mom.
Oh I salute you the greatest mom of Love!
May your soul rejoice now in the bossom of the Lord.

The bible says, these are the beginning of sorrows....but Jesus said, lift up your head for your redemption draweth nigh. hugs
Even tho, I'm still so sad over all the death. But humbled there are people who will give their lives to save another, that is called love.
