The national debt on June 30: $11,366,576,708,809.70
Your share of the national debt: $37,049.77

A few months ago the "your share of the debt" was around $32,000.00. I can't find my post where I had posted it at that time. But I think Obama just blew the chart off the page.

According to that chart, which I believe is accurate because I've seen the same data in many other places, Reagan and the two Bushes ran up a national debt of almost 11 trillion dollars, but it's Obama's fault....yeah we get it.

I am not at all surprized by that chart. I found the same kind of things over and over to counter many arguments against Obama and how he would bankrupt the contry-its not true and that chart proves it!!

Nawwww....I'll accept the fact that those high red bars belong to Bush...I'm just waiting for Obama's to be added.

Guess we'll have to wait another six months or so to see his. It will be interesting to see where we are 6 more months from now.

Just remember when Obama's numbers/bars come out.....that you have to subtract Bush's from them to find Obama's true numbers. He didn't start with a balanced or almost balanced budget.

Exactly my point, all I'm hearing is that Obama is ruining it for future generations, and who exactly was going to pay for the almost 11 trillion dollar debt Bush and the other Republican presidents left us with???

If you really want to get down to the nitty gritty you could take the figures of the last Bush bailout and add it to Obama's bar because this was the bailout that Obama asked Bush to do before he left office. Also what would be interesting on this chart is to see which party had the majority for each of these bars on the graph since we all know that the president can't do much without Congress passing it through.

No new president ever really comes into office with a balanced plate. There has always been remaining issues to deal with when a new president takes office. So what will matter is what Obama does while he is in office, not what Bush did (or any other president before that). If we look at this in an objective manner, Obama's numbers will be soley his just like all the other presidents listed. It will be his accountabilty much like we all have for our actions.

Well, I found this interesting in today's news and thought someone might be interested in it. My question to Colin Powell is, "How did you not know this was going to happen when you switched your support? It was all right there in his campaign that this is what he was going to do."

After Supporting Obama's Campaign, Powell Now Skeptical of President's Spending Priorities
Colin Powell, who broke ranks with the Republican Party last year to endorse Barack Obama, is now concerned that the president's agenda is increasing the size of government and the federal debt to alarming levels.

LOL...I sure hope it doesn't take that to do it...LOL

When I read that article my mouth just dropped. This was the bulk of Obama's campaign..to have all these new programs and the stimulus. Colin Powell acts like this is something that just dawned on him and now he doesn't agree with it. Slapping head here....LOL
