Welcome fellow SingSnappers!
This is a Contest that will raise the rafters of praise to our Savior!
Your hosts are TheresaInVa and Ashleyroxpinksox. Yes! We are Mother AND daughter and this is our
first time hosting a contest. While we are nowhere near perfect, we do have a high sense of integrity
and rely on God to guide us in all we do....that includes this contest!
So if you have a problem in ANYTHING that has to do with the contest, please feel free to privately
message us and we will do everything within our power to rectify the situation. Please do not
air your grievances on the thread. It is our prayer that Jesus will take over and bless each
contestant.
Now! to the details.
This contest will start today and end on January 19th at 9:00 PM SingSnap Time (Eastern Time)
The Audition round will consist of ANY song that has a religious message and
may be prercorded. After Auditions, everyone will turn in a fresh recording in each round.
If you have any problem with doing a fresh recording, please message one of us and we will make
a decision on a case-by-case basis. You will acrue points on each round and the person who has
the most points on January 19th will win the grand prize of Gold Membership for 3 months!
2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place will receive a beautiful banner to display on their profile page.
We plan on some very interesting rounds, with bonus activities throughout the contest for
additional points. No one will be voted out of the contest but if you do not turn in a song
by the deadline, you will be disqualified. Again, if there is a problem with making a deadline,
you can privately message us but we will be a bit more strict with making the deadline as to make
it as fair as possible to all contestants.
You will acrue points on each recording for the following:
*Song selection
*Emotion portrayed
*Pitch
*Your participation in commenting on others recording
*Your participation on this thread
Please take the time to comment on as many recordings as you can. Encouragement takes only a
few moments and it really lifts the spirit of the singer. Please only use kind words. We
are here to lift up the name of Jesus so let's be encouraging to His children!
Also, Please try to add comments or relay items of interest within this thread. (keep it clean)!
Graphics are always welcome!
Just for your information.....Songs having to do with our Lord are not only in the Gospel/Worship
Genre. There are also songs you can use in the Bluegrass Section, Traditional/Classical Section,
Country Section (such as Elvis, Barbara Mandrell, Loretta Lynn, etc), and Im sure there are some
in the Pop and Rock sections, as well.
If I have forgotten anything, feel free to let me know!

Go to the Gospel/worship section,click on "praise&worship" and pick a song from there. There are over 20 to choose from and hopefully you will find something you know in that listing. If not, you've got until wednesday night at 11 pm to learn a song and turn it in.
I REPEAT, the deadline for this round is wednesday,Jan. 7th at 11 p.m.!
We are trying to do this quickly because we only have a little over a week before they change the SingSnap prices.

Rob's posting brought up something else I wanted to tell y'all. If there is another version of the song you want to do that is not underneath the praise/worship section,thats fine. Just post it up saying so on the board when you post your song. This isnt really for mine or my mom's benefit,but for the others,so I don't get PM's saying "so and so didn't sing from the right section.." lol Not that I'm assuming you all are whiners....but just to clear up any confusion. :) Whew...Not I get to go listen to y'all sing! Hey, I just wanted to give you all an update on my mom. I just talked to her,she's on the way home from the Dr. The Dr told her,she looked SO much better and also the test results came back and they were NEGITIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God is so faithful!
