Insomniacs and Night Owls

This thread is for those of us with nothing better to do than sit at our computers in the middle of the night looking for some way to pass the time when everyone else is in bed!!

The only rules here are....

1.) To Be Polite to Each other
2.) Have a Good Time
3.) Make new friends
4.) No Politics or Religion..( always causes an argument)

So let me start by introducing myself....

I'm David Allen Slater aka dasmusic and I am a professional singer/songwriter/performer/complete insomniac with an all round nutty sense of humor!!

I come here often to sing a song as we all do and make new friends and have some good conversation along with a few laughs.

But I also find that a lot of the time when I am up...no one else seems to be active in the forum topics that I frequent. For this reason I am starting this thread for all the people out there in the same boat as I am.

I don't mind if occasionally you want to promote a song in here but JRAS already has a fantastic thread for that in the promotions section and I suggest that you use it if you don't know about it. TitaPro started it and it has grown into a massive thread and expanded out into two separate ones. One is just for posting songs and one is for the same but with more chatting, fun and interaction between members. The larger one being the latter of the two above.

So with that being said welcome to Insomniacs and Night Owls and let's have some fun and keep each other company....

Amen to that...I go from one extreme to the other...but with songwriting the good ones always come in the middle of the night. But that is also when everyone is asleep and there is not many to talk to....I thought it would be good to stir things up a little tonight

Let me say since this is all new...that I want everyone and anyone to come here as often as they please....feel free to run the room if you are here...hand out medals for flipping the page and such. Invite your friends and have a party....this is a room that people like us can just enjoy

Well I think I've been writing ever since I was around 12 or 13....but it got way easier and my songs got more mature after having a lot more life experience to draw on. I've played guitar for 33 years now but it took time to find my voice and then be able to use it in public
