What do you consider spam?
Multiple postings?
Glitter Graphics?
Requests to come listen to songs?

What?

I think everyone looks at it differently.

I think friends posting multiple replies is NOT spam.

I think people coming and saying "great job, come listen to my 4, 567,893 rd song" is spam.

I used to like SPAM when I was a kid. I think that's why I hate it now....ate it all the time as a kid.

My dog has prescription dog food and I swear it smells just like SPAM. She likes it, but she also licks her own butt!

I don't mind glitter graphics unless they're copy & paste that you find on 1/3 of everybody else's pages.

You can always tell the cut ~n~ pasters.

Do you know the skit I'm talking about? Where he said his wife's cooking was so bad he tried feeding it to the dog and the dog wouldn't eat it?

His wife came back in the kitchen and asked what the hell he was doing and why the plate was on the floor and what was the dog doing?

He told her the dog was licking it's butt trying to get the taste out of it's mouth. rofl

ahahaha. I remember that one.. He is an excellent entertainer.

Does he have a drinking problem though? He looks half lit in some of his performances. dunno. maybe it's part of the act.

I don't know, he always has a drink in one hand and a cigar in the other but it could be just an act.

Foster Brooks (the most famous drunk of all) never drank.

Neither did Otis Campbell from Andy Griffith.

I wouldn't have guessed that about Larry..... I just never did a search or background. Just assumed from the accent and all that he was from either Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama or somewhere near there. He does have that down pat... and I can't type worth a hoot tonight. :(

I loved him too. We used to watch that celebrity roast show and there were a bunch of the old greats on there.

Dean Martin, Foster Brooks, Johnny Carson, George Burns, Bob Hope, etc.

They don't make TV like that anymore.

Most people who try to sound Southern (like in movies and tv shows) really can't do it right. It's always OVER done.

Elly May Clampett (Donna Douglas was from Louisiana) and her accent was real.

Truman Capote spent a lot of time in Alabama as a child. That's why he sounded that way.

Did you know the character Dill in To Kill a Mockingbird is based on Truman Capote? He was friends with Harper Lee as a child.

I'd flunk for sure. It's actually been so long since I have had to do any major typing that I am out of practice.. The ole knuckles just don't work like they used to. Aches and pains everywhere and what doesn't hurt doesn't work. lol

I hear ya on that one. I feel 90 sometimes but I still act 20...lol.

My kids say I'm cooler than they are.

I type for a living, so I'm fast and accurate. I occasionally make a mistake but I catch it before I hit enter when I do.

I own a medical transcription company. I'm at work right now. I just finished up for the day. In a little while I'll go across the hall and go to bed...lol.

I don't know if I work at home or live at work though!

When I was a kid though, we lived out in the country, didn't have cable, had an antenna that was way up on the hill, so you had to go up the hill and turn it and then holler down to see if the reception was any better.

Would have been nice to have cell phones or a walkie-talkie back then. That was one of my jobs and they ran my ass off. (lol) I would get 'bout halfway down the hill and someone would yell, "No, ya have to turn it a little more."

It was just on the outskirts of the town Granny and Jed were supposedly from. Sam Drucker was in that as well as Green Acres.

The same character on 3 shows and he never got his own show, how sad.

I make more doing this from home than I did as an RN in the emergency room, charge nurse, with night shift differential pay.

I work my ass off but I make good money. I'll be completely out of debt by age 54 too. I have my budget figured out. My hubby retired from the Air Force in 1994 and from the work force in 2000. He is the house husband.

We always had a TV but we lived in the city. My grandmother had an outhouse until the early 70s though, a well, a dipper hanging on the wall by the water pan and the house had a hall down the middle 2 rooms on one side, open to outside in the middle and 2 rooms on the other. Beds in the living room, wood heater, etc.

Most people have probably never seen a house like that. The porch ran down the middle of the house.
