It's a lot of hard work, is'nt it??? It's hard work for us as well! But it is always well worth the extra effort, now as you have all seen! But the work is'nt over yet people!

Now is the time to get your gear together along with your choices for this Final Round. And if you have'nt been into the live chat to see how things go, or check out your sounds! It's best to do so several times! So you can get familiar with it! Try singing in there as well! It really helps your comfort zone, alot!

Hello Contestants! Hope you have had a great week!

I wanted to stop back by to see how everyone was coping with having to go into the "Live Chat" room!

For those that have'nt been in there, now is the time to go this week-end, and try it out! It will help to relieve any nervousness you may encounter, at the "Finals"!

1. Please make sure, you have no "HTML" images inserted by your profile name, in your profile "Edit" page! It will not be able to "Authenticate" you!

2. Go to your "Account" tab! Click on "Chat Room" there!
That is where you will be "Authenticated" to be able to open up the chat room!

3. Once in there! You will be in the "Main Chat Room"! When it is time for the Finals! Another "Room" will be added. You will notice there will be a small arrow at the top of the Main Room, that will be added!

When you click on that arrow, it will ask you, if you would like to enter that room? And you simply click yes! And there you are!

4. It is not hard, but maybe a little scarey! Because you are nervous about the up-coming event! Hence! That's why you need to at least go in before the "Finals"! So you know what you are doing!

I hope this helps some of you a little better with the "Nerves"! LOL And "Good Luck" to you all! And we'll see there, on Monday!

I have seen brilliant techincally and aristically gifted singers lose out ,and medicore ones progress .not taking anything away from you finalists ,but some of you just are not , up to the quality and standard of others , who fell by the wayside.Why on earth people enter these "comps " is beyond me . Good luck to you all ,I think you will need it .

Sometimes, that would mean that some people that got a higher score than someone else in another group would leave the contest, simply because they had a lower score in their own group.

An awful lot depends on the judges that you get as well. An ideal solution would be to have every judge mark every song, so that the averaged scores would be from all judges for everyone, but it isn't a practical solution in the earlier stages of the contest, as with so many entries, it really does take up a lot of time to listen to every singer in their entirety.

As the groups get smaller and merge, then more judges listen to more songs, until we get to a final group, and then everyone has the same judges scoring them

For the first Prescription contest I listened and scored 153 auditionees, for thirteen hours straight, save a two hour break for a shower, and to relieve some stress by singing a couple of songs on my own ID, and I know the other judges had similar experiences.

In summary, nothing is ever going to be perfect, but we try to be as fair and rounded as we possibly can be. There will be disappointments and even shocks along the way, but I can only add up the scores given to me, and produce a result.

Everyone earned their spot in the final for a REASON...yes, not all the good singers make it through, but that doesn't mean the ten left standing aren't brilliant in their own way as well. It's sad that people have to ridicule others who are here just trying to have fun...we all have a passion for music and, in my opinion, anyone who can find an outlet for their passion is lucky! We're all lucky that SingSnap has brought us together from around the world to celebrate music...whether you're a semi-professional or just a shower singer, I'll listen to you and applaud your heroism in singing publicly on a site accessed by thousands of people a day.

With that, have fun practicing and see you all Monday! I'll be recovering from laryngitis all weekend by not singing and keeping the talking to a minimum ;).
