**COUNTDOWN**AUSTRALIA** ROUND ONE**

COUNTDOWN was an Australian Pop music program hosted by Ian “Molly” Meldrum. On Sunday nights at 6pm from 1974- 1987 at the end of the show you were told who made the National Top 10 that week.

You have all been arranged into Australian bands for the first four rounds by the order in which you replied to the Auditions. Please try and listen to at least the people in your band but you are competing for #1 against the other bands members too so try and get to know everyone!

CONTEST SCHEDULE

AUDITIONS completed

ROUND FOUR Begin Friday May 2nd ….ends Wed May 7th
ROUND FIVE -TOP 10 ONLY- Begin Friday May 9th……ends Wed May 14th
WINNERS ANNOUNCED Friday May 16th LIVE SHOW 9PM
ALL ROUNDS END 9PM SS TIME

JUDGING

You will be scored on both vocal performance (Max. 5 points) and
how well you impressed the Judges (Max. 5 points)

HOW THE CONTEST WORKS

ROUNDS 1-4 there will be NO CUTS
You may miss a round and still stay in the contest but this will likely lessen your chances of making the FINAL TOP 10

A list of CHARTBUSTERS will be posted after the close of each round. These will be the TOP TEN scorers each round but you will not be told the scores. To be eligible to make the list you must post your song BEFORE the deadline of the round.

The scores for each round will be accumulated so at the start of the
ROUND 5 the COUNTDOWN TOP 10 singers will be announced and they will compete for the #1 spot

PRIZES

A ONE MONTH GOLD SUBSCRIPTION will be given to the #1 COUNTDOWN AWARDS WINNER

RULES

You may use video or slideshows but you will not be judged on these.
You may use special mic effects or the pitch changer but remember, they don’t always work to impress us.
The judges are the only ones allowed to be drama queens here!
If you have a problem with anyone or anything please PM one of the three judges.
Songs are to be ONLY songs available on Singsnap.
Deadlines are definite, no extensions can be given as we have to keep within the posted time.
No duets, (harmony is OK as long as it is with your own voice)
