The Recycle Bin is here. As Trevor explained in his update video yesterday it works similar to the one in Windows.

You can also access it by going to Account -> Recordings and then look for a button near the bottom of the page (which will only show up if you have deleted anything in the last 30 days).

Check Trevor's video for more info...

Interesting feature. I doubt I'll use it, but it may come in handy for those that delete in haste.

Happy New Year Per.

Yes actually, but they have to make room for them in their account first of course.

Well ain't that great news! Nothing will be deleted then for Blue members, so as long as there's SingSnap, the songs will be there! Yipie!

Mel blue members songs will still be gone. The limit for us is 70 total. So if I take one back from the bin I have to put another one in.

Yes of course, but nothing will be lost. Or did I get that wrong?

Yes, you did.

The recycle bin just contains songs deleted in the last 30 days, the rest will be deleted permanently.

This is also good when your disgruntled spouse deletes all your recordings in protest of you never leaving the site. This way you can always get them back, as long as you notice within 30 days.

Well....I've never deleted a song in error, I don't think, but I did just go into my account & delete all of my private recordings...except a few of them with my grandbabies in them. I couldn't believe that I got rid of 386 recordings, just from those! About a third of them were from when I was doing stereo-testing. We were told to keep all of our songs, so that they could be studied. I just never went back & deleted them. They're gone now, though.
I will go back in & delete more songs, as time permits.

~~~~~~
What I have done in error, many times, is hit the record button, instead of the review button, on the player!! Grrrrrr.....I get so mad when I do that!!! LOL
I was able to toss 96 songs into the recycle bin....and that's JUST lic songs and duplicates. I'm planning on being blue so paring down IS a necessity, and I want to have plenty of time to give each recording some thought. 70 isn't even a couple songs per day. I don't think it's a good idea to wait around and 'hold on' to recordings for some of us.
Or you could get the spouse back as long as you notice he's gone within 30 days.
This is the EXACT reason marriage can be so risky ! I have loads of money invested in musical stuff. It would be so easy for a spouse to go out and purchase red "LIC" decals, and place them on my guitar collection when I'm not looking :(
I'm a victim of childhood LIC !
Today in the world, it's considered abuse to put a child in the recycle bin for 30 days !
It's a shame but I can see why it is neccesary.
Real bugger for me, as due to work, I won't be around here as much and it makes no sense me paying for gold but not using it, so, I am going to lose a lot of songs recorded since the start of Singsnap, but, I do hope people will sign up for gold and keep the Singsnap dream alive.
