This challenge is open to all. It runs until Tuesday Oct.23 at 6PM EDT. Its purpose is to give people a forum to have their songs heard. There is no judging involved. Everyone who participates is a winner.
PLEASE READ THESE GUIDELINES AND THE THEME DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY BEFORE POSTING
1. Post ONE OR TWO songs that fit the theme (one is preferred but two are ok). If you have to, you may post a third and final one on the second day of the challenge. You may post a new song or one that was already recorded. You do not have to post a song to participate.
**2. For EACH song you post, listen to at least THREE other people’s songs during EACH day of the challenge and leave feedback. That means, if you post 2 songs you should listen to 6 others each day (12 total). Listen to as many as you wish but make sure you listen to at least three each day per song you post and leave feedback.
Listening is the most important part of this challenge. Supporting and experiencing others is what it’s about.
3. We prefer that you listen to the whole song rather than listening to 10 seconds so there's no need to try to listen to everyone. Try not to listen to the same people every day. Give new people a chance as well. The quality here is so good, you may find yourself doing more listening than you expected.
4. Although you may choose to post a tiny graphic with your comments, we ask that you do not post large glittery graphics as feedback.
5. Come back to the current challenge thread and write about your experiences. Mention songs you heard or anything else that strikes you, suggestions, etc., or not. Completely up to you. And please go back each day and listen to others. That's the most important part of this.
6. You don't need to post a song to listen but you need to listen if you post a song. It's best to post earlier in the challenge. But you can post up until the end. Just be aware that the closing hours of the challenge are better suited to listening than trying to squeeze in a last minute post.
New challenge themes are announced by 6pm Saturday and Tuesday. On the weekends we do challenges LIVE in our chat room. On Friday and Saturday they begin between 6PM and 7PM EDT. But you are welcome in there at any time. To access the room, learn how to use it and read the room guidelines, follow the link below.

The theme of our challenge is as follows:
2007 marks the 60th Anniversary of one of the greatest record labels in history, Atlantic Records. Founded in 1947 by the son of the Turkish ambassador to the United States, Ahmet Ertegun and dentist Herb Abramson. The label became the first major American label to feature recordings by African-American artists and it specialized in jazz and r&b. The label later expanded into pop and rock music and in the 1970s became part of the Warner Communications conglomerate.
Later this year, Led Zeppelin will perform in a reunion concert to raise money for the foundation created in the name of Ertegun, who passed away last December.
Post a song by any Atlantic artist. Most of the roster is listed below. It's probable I've left some off and if you know of one, feel free to use that artist as well.
Several Atlantic artists (clockwise from upper left - Anni-Frid "Frida" Lyngstad from Abba, Genesis, Roger Daltrey, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Julian Lennon, Chris Squire from Yes)
The full historical roster is below.

Here's my first. This one was real hard to do for me because it's just about one of my favorite songs of all time. I just saw Phil in concert with Genesis and people forget just how immensely talented he is. No one could sing this song like him. But here it is anyway.

fofun daniela's first challenge starts today!! ty sandy!! hugsss
Here a song I will post ..it's kinda out of my league..but I always liked it....and again..the songs I have listen to so far are fantastic..keep them coming..inbetween football..I will listening
Here's a fun one by Genesis. I loved them when I was in High School and College. My brother and I saw them in Orlando from the nosebleed seats. Then when we had decent seats in the front section of the Tampa show, they came out and did one song, and then said they had to cancel because Phil Collins was sick. I was sooooooo sad. Anyway, I hope you like this one.
Hey guys if any of you were in the chat room last night when I came in and then seconds later left...my computer shut down on me and was freezing up when I turned it back on so I couldn't get back in. I didn't even get to see who was in there...so just wanted to make sure you didn't think I was being rude...haha
Ok now here's my song...I really strained to make it through as far as I did. I like this song because the lyrics and the music have this desperation thing going on....and I was really desperately HOPING to make it through the song without my voice giving out...I didn't get every word out....one word the last word...I didn't get out, but I survived the song.
Hi everyone! Wow, this is a great one, Bruce! I may come up with an entry and join you all, if possible! Have fun, you fabulous singin' friends, see you soon! ~hugs~ JJ
I'VE TOTALLY LOST MY MIND FOR SOME REASON ... PERHAPS I HAVE BEEN PLAYING IN THE DARK TOO MUCH UH!!
I BETTER PUT ON MY ROLLER SKATES AND FLY!!!
Oooooooo !!!! i still can edit hehehehehehe !!!
I have this song ... a bit messed up but is for one reason :
I am so much in love with my husband eyes, they're kind of blue-grey with a yellow circal around the (pupil? -not sure how to write it) and i always kindly say to him " your beautiful blue eyes" Mainly because for venezuelan people is rare to see somebody with blue eyes!!!
So i said to him one day i am " LOST IN YOUR EYES"
That is what i was thinking of when i was singing this song!!! ; )

You Don't Have to Say You Love Me

OMG I CAN'T GET AWAY FOR A DAY HEHEHEHEHEHEHE
I'VE TOTALLY LOST MY MIND FOR SOME REASON ... PERHAPS I HAVE BEEN PLAYING IN THE DARK TOO MUCH UH!!
I BETTER PUT ON MY ROLLER SKATES AND FLY!!!
Oooooooo !!!! i still can edit hehehehehehe !!!
I have this song ... a bit messed up but is for one reason :
I am so much in love with my husband eyes, they're kind of blue-grey with a yellow circal around the (pupil? -not sure how to write it) and i always kindly say to him " your beautiful blue eyes"
Mainly because for venezuelan people is rare to see somebody with blue eyes!!!
So i said to him one day i am " LOST IN YOUR EYES"
That is what i was thinking of when i was singing this song!!! ; )

An old recording... I don't use this tone of voice that much because I think it sounds bad most times except for this one I think.
