Welcome to Challenge for All Stars..where everyone who sings is a star. At the beginning of each challenge the host will post a theme. You are asked to sing a song based on that theme. Depending on the wishes of the host you may be asked to record a fresh track or perhaps post one from your archives. Once you have recorded your song just come and post the link on the board. We do ask that you listen to and post a comment on at least three songs of your fellow posters. In order to insure that folks get equal listens try to listen to people who posted their song around the same time you did. Three listens are the bare minimum..you're more than welcome and encouraged to listen to more than the three. These listens must be done on the same day of the challenge you have entered. The object of this challenge is to share our songs and develop friendships.As a testament to the many friendships formed on this thread, you will see lots of pages. We are a chatty bunch but don't let that deter you from posting your song. It will get heard. So as Shakespeare might have said had he been on singsnap ...sing listen chat and be merry. Just a reminder folks..Even though we are all adults who sing and post on this board..We do need to remember that we do need to adhere to singsnap's forum rules. So please keep that in mind especially when posting pictures.

Welcome to Challenge for All Stars Pt 172!

My name is Phil and I use the nic of BostonKaraokeMan; my co-host is Alisha and she goes by the nic of AlishasMelody. I will listen to the female singers and Alisha will listen to the males.

Today's theme is kind of original and this is the first time I am trying this. To enter this challenge you will be singing a song that is "connected" to any other song that is posted in this challenge!

First to be "connected to another song" it must be either by the same artist or have one word in common in the title (excluding non-essential words like a, the, of, with, etc.).

For example, I would start it off with a song like "You are the Sunshine of My Life" by Stevie Wonder. To connect to my song, you can either sing another Stevie Wonder song (same artist) or sing a song with either "Sunshine" or "Life" in the title (one word in common in the title).

So someone else could sing "Sunshine on My Shoulders" by John Denver.

The next person could sing another John Denver song (like Annie's Song) or sing a song with Sunshine or Shoulder in the title, etc., etc.

The choices would keep branching out, and people would listen and comment to the songs they are connecting to even before posting their own song.

to start off the chain. To connect to my song, you must either sing another Eric Clapton song or a song with either "Tear(s)" or "Heaven" (variations on the word like making it plural or singular is fine) in the Title. It's that simple.

In your post please identify the song you are "connecting to" and the song you are singing and explain the connection if it is not obvious. Many people can connect to the same song.

As the challenge goes on, there will be more and more choices to connect to.

Try to listen to and comment on at least three songs from other members on this challenge.

From what I have read above..it seems phil wanted the connection in the title or sing a song by the same artist...Now since I don't see him or Alisha on the board at the moment and we are all here to have our bit of fun..just keep connecting the manor you've been connecting..I bet phil and alisha didn't even think that we could connect via the artist by singing a song by an artist with the same first name thus opening up the challenge to more tunes and possible connections...
