Tried everything, still can't hear music!

This is sooooo frustrating. I'm using a mic with headset and I have vista. I did everything the forums said, I have enabled stereo mix as my default and updated everything, yet....I still can only hear me and no music??!!! What else can I try??

I know of one thing that might mess you up that I haven't seen mentioned here.
Did you have to reboot when you enabled stereo mix and set it as default?

The easiest way to fix this is to go to the chat room and ask the admin for a sound check. That way it can be done live.

HOW ABOUT BRING UP THE WAVE SETTING IT CONTROLS THE SINGSNAP RECORDER THE GEAR GUY GO TO START -CONTROL PANNEL- AUDIO DEVICES- CLICK AUDIO- THEN ON SOUND VOLUME -CLICK YOU SHOUD SE YOUR WAVE CONTROL THE GEAR GUY.

Does wearing a headset stop the music from coming through when recording? All I get is my voice.. I/m wearing a headset, should I use speakers>>??

Wven with my speakers to hear the music... NO music here either, just my voice. ='(
