I think its time we should be allowed to add more harmonies to our songs because all of these >' (no backing vocals) 'songs need to have several harmonies to support them. I think it would be a really good idea if we had that choice and also if we had more up to date songs released.
Since the new system has been around the song releases are dissapointing. I love singsnap and the people on it but am upset with new releases... Anyone agree??

if you know the harmonies yourself you can add them... when you record a song, save it with duets enabled, and harmonise it yourself...
when you save the harmony, the option for duet is diabled, but if you go into your recording list, tag the song, scroll down to the drop box at the bottom and select Allow duets...
i believe you can do this up to three times, giving you 4 part harmony.
I LOVE them. I like not having to sync up with the background vocalists... in the real world of music, lead comes first, backup/harmony second. Of course, I also like to sing harmony...

Looks useful for customized group Recordings. I have a contingency for a challenge recording of:
that involves a backing chorus with up to 8 parts, sort of Sha Na Na meets Forrester Sisters and Dixie Chicks combined. From my present perspective, a practical start for proof of concept would be to handle Bowzer and Danny for an open duet based on the existing SoundChoice track:
I HAVE TO AGREE WITH NEW SONG CHOICES,I SURE DO WISH THEY COULD ADD SOME BETTER STUFF..REALLY WAY TOO LIMITED ON MATCHBOX TWENTY OR ROB THOMAS,AEROSMITH,NO QUEEN(U.S.)JAMES BLUNT(1 SONG),NO CAROL KING,ETC.

I agree. I don't care for the songs with no backing vocal.

SUMMER NIGHTS - "GREASE" / OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN & JOHN TRAVOLTA

re-engaging "Allow Duets" from the appropriate Edit Recording after completing my two passes so that the would-be Sandys would have their turn.

They are good for having friends do harmonies...or for song parodies.
